Final 53 Man Roster for 2012

We were already stacked and competitive at RB, and the injury to Hightower gave us an "excuse" to drop one of them, or basically simplified the decision. So we'd be fine with 3 RB's. But our O-line sucks, but what do we do ? Waste another trade on another "dime a dozen" RB !! I swear, just when you think Shanahan actually has a clue about personnel, he goes backwards and does some crap like this !
 
Hankerson will be on the team as a recent #3 pick who has talent. But if he doesn't start showing better hands and a more competitive attitude Mike will replace him. Briscoe I hope makes the team because then we are not locked into Hank as the only red zone threat on the outside with size.

Briscoe gets into the end zone (and did so in regular season games last year with TB), after seeing the lack of scoring TDs by the Skins receivers last year that is something that needs to be considered.
 
I thought Hankerson was a lock until he was on the field in the 4th quarter Wed. night. Now, I'm not so sure.

He's Shanny's pick though, so he's got that going for him.

He is 6'6" and 325, Fear. Not even close to a Shanahan type interior linemen. Even if the Fins offered him for Armstrong I doubt Shanahan would have taken him.

Willie Smith offered PS if he clears waivers.
Adam Gettis told that he has made the team.
Jordan Bernstine told that he has made the team.

Chris Baker makes the team.
DeJon Gomes makes the team.
Alfred Morris is on the team.
Dezmon Briscoe told that he is on the team.
Kedric Golston makes the roster.
Reed Doughty makes the team.

Dolphins and Redskins are talking about a trade for Anthony Armstrong and Steve Slaton.

Looks like Kevin Barnes will be on the Lions opening day roster. If so, the Redskins get a 2013 6th round pick.

John Beck has made the Houston Texans 53 man roster.
Eagles released O.J. Atogwe.
 
well, the Skins have a checkered past with Vinny and through Shanny's first year in re trades and signings (Shanny and Bruce have done much better in 2011 and 2012) - but these other teams just seem to love picking up our discards.

not that any of them really turn out.

Atogwe being cut isn't a surprise as he appeared to have linebacker speed last year in DC while playing free safety.

But teams trade for McNabb, Haynesworth and sign Stallworth, Gaffney, etc.

ALL of these guys are now gone from the clubs that traded or signed for them and are on the street.

Even Campbell was let go by the Raiders before finding a gig as a backup in Chicago.

Overall, thanks for the #4, #5, and two #6 picks for these players.

Folks around here are so desperate, that they generally get excited just for "a body"

So, imagine how excited they'd be for a "big body" :kick_can:
 
Banks must have dirt on shanny, I will be surprised if he lasts the season though.

Given that they signed Cundiff in large part for his touchback % and now Banks for his field positioning, I'd say the Shanny's place very high premium on field position. If our O was more finely tuned machine maybe that premium isn't so high but right now they seem to be playing it safe in those areas to a fault. Can't say I blame em.
