Your Active Players This Sunday

Because of the asinine NFL rule that teams can only dress 46 players, some big decisions will have to be made.

Personally, I'd have all 3 QB's dress.
The three healthiest RB's. Which I believe are Morris, Thomas, and Jones. Plus the FB.
With Licht back, we can carry 1 less Olinemen, since he can play center or guard.
If Dunbar can play, I might go with just 4 WR's. Garcon, Jackson, Crowder, and Ross. Dunbar could be an emergency WR if somebody goes down. Plus Pierre Thomas can play some WR too.

On defense, sheeesh! I don't even know.

What a dumb freakin rule!

Yeah, Gibbs complained that it didn't make sense to pay a 53 man active roster only to allow 46 to get dressed for games.

Injuries might keep the game rosters limited anyway, I suppose that some how it 'levels the field' by averaging out injuries per team but don't understand why teams are 'punished' for having a healthy roster.

Vegas. It takes out some guesswork & they get the spread/line better tuned.

I thought I remembered hearing once that it was Ross. Not sure though.

That's why I'd have all 3 active Sunday.

You don't waste a critical roster spot on a 3rd QB. Reality is, if we are down to our 3rd QB it's very likely the game is already over.

Jordan reed played QB in high school. Not to mention, Griffin can't hit the field and get injured...that would be a disaster on our Cap next year.

Looks like Jones is the odd man out at running back

I don't know. Weird shit happens in this game of football. And while I agree that usually, if you have to go to your 3rd QB, you're in trouble, it'd be bad to lose a playoff game because your able QB was in street clothes. Stupid ass rule.

He could get injured any day, at practice.

And what if Colt came down with the flu before the game? I've said it in other threads, they have that guaranteed money already factored in. If an injury happens, it happens. Can't coach scared. I know it probably won't happen. But I'd do it.

Can anybody nail down who the emergency QB is?

3 QB's - Kirk, Colt, Robert
3 RB's - Morris, Thomas, Thompson
1 FB - Young
2 TE's - Reed, Smith
9 OL - Williams, Long, Licht, Scherff, Moses, Nsekhe, McRib, Compton, Kouandjio
4 WR's - Garcon, Jackson, Crowder, Ross
5 DL - Hatcher, Baker, Knighton, Rickey Jean, Golston,
8 LB's - Kerrigan, Compton, Foster, Murphy, Smith, Robinson, Bates
8 DB's - Breeland, Blackmon, Dunbar, Hall, Goldson, Johnson, Williams, Phillips?
3 ST - Way, Hopkins, Sundberg

Griffin doesn't suit up, especially if he is already discussing landing spots in the media, like has been suggested.

Yeah, I'd be shocked if Robert dressed Sunday. To me the risk--both financial and potential-distraction-related--would far outweigh any reasonably expected benefit.

And I echo El's curiosity about the emergency QB thing, which has been a stealth issue all year.

Oddly I was talking about this with my other half the other night. She asked "What happens if you get both your QB's injured in the same game"

I knew another player would take the spot, but had no idea who.

I still don't know officially.... but....

I have Madden 16 on my XBoxOne and it updated it's rosters yesterday and on the depth chart at QB it has Cousins, McCoy, RGIII...... Tress Way.

There was someone else too.... I want to say Jordan Reed but could be wrong.

Sometime prior to last weeks game, thought I heard (radio talk with someone from the team) that DY was the emergency QB if both Kirk and Colt go down.

Might have been Ryan or maybe Gruden.... can't remember figuring it was not that important plus it was pre New Years Eve.. seem to have misplaced a few other memories since then.

I was about to say just that. I believe it's DY.

I've been reading all the articles about Griff's "landing spot" I see and so far I have seen nothing to indicate he has been talking about it at all. So far everything I've seen is speculation on the part of writers.

He wasn't...Charles Robinson from some obscure outlet was stirring the pot. He was using Kevin Bacon's six degrees of separation type nonsense to justify that it was a legit possibility.

I heard it on the radio this morning, they challenged the guy but he maintains it's a legit reality.
