Word on the street is that the home opener against the Cardinals will be a sell out. Not at all surprising given the ousting of Lord Voldemort and all of the excitement in it's wake.

Will you go to a Washington game/games this season due to the ownership change?
Will you spend more $$ on swag?

Curious if the ownership change is going to produce a small early spike, or if we are going to see massive increases in fan attendance and sales of team merchandise...

As a displaced fan, I can't comment accurately for the first question. As far as buying merchandise goes, outside of a mini Commanders helmet I bought for my son, I promised not buy anything with Dan's brand on it.

The new ownership definitely has me excited for football again, but I personally won't spend on merchandise until we rebrand again and actually have a logo that I find asthetically pleasing, and a uniform that reflects more of our traditional roots.

I made a similar vow to Canadian Hog although it was just about buying gear that put money in the former owner's pocket. I fudged a little over the course of the last 18 months to make sure I had something with the interim Washington Football Team brand/logo but otherwise, I've stayed away.

Today I went to Fanatics and blew my winnings from last season's BGO fantasy football comp.

And yeah, it looks like I'll be going to a game for the first time in over 35 years this year. I guarantee that would not have happened if the former owner had not sold the team.

This is what I’m talking about. Is it you or nah?

Merch, no, I have a couple Commanders things already mainly to keep for historical value, same as WFT. As far as going to a game, that's just a hit or miss depending on my work schedule. September and October are harder to get time off but the weather more suits me, November and December are much easier PTO requests but I'm not built for the cold anymore (20 years in FL does that to you). Hell last game I was at FedEx was the 2015 BGO tailgate, I struggle to justify spending the money on a flight, car and hotel and ticket etc. unless there's an occasion that warrants it as well.

Nah, that is not me. Burgundy and gold or nothing when it comes to jerseys.
