Will we sign Josh Norman?

We have 3 CB atleast 6 ft tall and Culliver coming back from injuring who will be at worst/best the slot corner. 2 days left before we see if we draft a D lineman or O lineman who can contribute immediately. Then the other draft picks for safety LB/ and Guiard Center will be interesting as well as how we address the RB position.

I'm warming up to it. Seems like Norman has a burning desire to excel, from what I take from his presser. It's hard to be completely on board given the past, and I understand TR's reluctance
to accepts Snyder is letting McL run the show, but all evidence so far points to that.

So does everyone give Hall one more season with us after this?

We need youth back there, so I'd say this is his last season.... if he makes the cut.

Sounds like age discrimination, if you ask me, Mister !
How'd you like it if your boss told you that you were doing an excellent job, but he was still going to fire you, because he needed to get some young blood in there, and you were startin to become....well...you know :)

Yeah, sucks too. The few games I did watch Hall was lowering the boom. Idk maybe Culliver or Breeland can slide to FS since Normanator is on the scene.

If Norman had been drafted by the Skins five years ago and was just given this contract many of the negators here would be cheering the team for not letting a premiere player leave in free agency 😈

Absolutely. I've always said if we are going to pay top dollar for a player, I'd rather it be for one of our own.

But that makes it a pretty rare event. Other than Trent and Reed there is no one on the current roster that I would offer top dollar to today.

Kerrigan?

I like him. A lot. But I wouldn't give him a max deal at his position.

Edit: Ok, perhaps I was premature. :)

I love him rushing the passer, not so much in coverage.

I'm not even sure I'd give top dollar to Reed. He's had one good year receiving, but he's still injury prone and a mediocre blocker.

Reed is the new standard of end, bigger than a WR but still capable of lining up on the outside and being considered a top playmaking threat.

As McCloughan said they just aren't making true blocking TEs anymore.

Whether teams will start to move college fullbacks to that slot (where they even exist today) or slim down an OL as the Redskins did with Compton last year, it's not that easy to just draft one.

That won't stop Reed from getting paid.

You turn in 11tds and lead the offense in scoring, you are going to get your cash 🤑

All I know is that, while Reed certainly made some big big plays for us and was a consistent threat, it really killed us that the opposing defense knew if it was a run or a pass based on whether or not Reed was on the field. Even by today's standards Reed needs to block better.

Not to discount your point, Henry, but that sounds more like a play design issue to me.

Perhaps, but Reed was always our best receiving TE. Even last year when he wasn't originally pencilled in to start. Contrary to popular opinion I do think TEs still need to block.

And hey, I like Reed. I just don't know that I'd pay top dollar for him after one nice pass-catching season. Let's see how he fares this year.
