DS has it right. As long as they have a roster spot open, there is no reason to cut the man loose. The potential is still to high. The minute they are forced to make a roster-based hard decision, they will.
I said he was done last year. I stand by that. The body is just too fragile.
But I'm not in a hurry to cut him loose until we have to. I mean ... stuff happens.
Well, eventually they will have to, there just aren't enough roster spots.
In Murph's Homer McFanboy column he goes over the battle for the WR slots on the team. In his analysis the first slots go to Moss, Anthony and Gaffney with the backups being Hankerson and Paul. The last slot (assuming they carry 6) will be a battle between Banks, Austin and Stallworth. Nowhere in his discussion does he even mention Elijah Price, er, I mean Malcolm Kelly.
I would agree it's just a matter of time. When are the first cuts?
