Who sits, who plays in Week 17 ?

The staff better not TELL the players ahead of time they will only be playing for a quarter or a half or whatever if that is the direction they go. That's when real injuries can happen, when a player is half-assing it, trying to not get injured. Either play them or don't. If you play them, and it turns into a blowout, great. You can start pulling people then.

Personally, I wouldn't sit anyone healthy enough to play.

This is the most important part of the game vs Dallas in my opinion. The guys have to try to win every matchup. Not lollygagging waiting for the game to end. Gruden and the coaches I bet will remind everyone of how Dallas beat us at home, and how we don't want to be that team that wins the division 8-8. Don't let your teammates down by not playing all out.

Now when they start pulling players, the coaches have to keep the pedal down. I don't think that will happen until halftime. Players don't need distractions while the game is going on.

If we lose a close game after benching some key starters with the lead at halftime(having played a solid first half), and we walk away with no injuries at all, I'm ok.

I always hate games like this. You play all year to win and you hope injuries don't happen, but you understand that they do and you deal with them. Then the last game of the season, you spend so much time handwringing over if players should play or if they should sit to avoid injury. Injuries can happen at any time. In games, in practice, at the training facility, at home, anywhere. I've always been in favor of playing guys like a regular game. If the game gets out of hand, then you can pull guys quicker than usual. Or if you feel the other team is taking shots at the QB or other players, then maybe you pull them because you know the other team is only out to injure. Otherwise, you play the game just like the other 15.
