I'm sensing reserved excitement.

I love the fans yelling "you like that" for Kirk last game. Good sign, and well done by the faithful.
Whether or not we are ready to win the division remains to be seen.

No more are we dysfunction incorporated.

I know my mood. Nervous. I think they can win, but the team isn't at a place where I expect it yet.

The Dallas game punched me in the gut hard and have become comfortably numb since.

It's been a real kick watching the guys the last two games which gives cause for heightened expectations.

Expect a tight game Saturday vs Philly, as it should be. If we come out on top still not sure what the excitement level will go to but it'll be fun to see regardless.

Now if we blow them out and go into Dallas and do the same....... the level will go up ..... maybe a bunch.

They're doing it wrong.
"You like that" is supposed to be a question, not a statement, or a command.

Much more difficult to have the voice inflection necessary in the form of a question for thousands of fans.
Although many women seem to be able to make statements that sound like they are asking questions.
I don't think we were ready to have the "women's section" lead the chants last Sunday.

I'm 100% confident that we are in the playoffs.

I'm not positive that we'll win this weekend, but I am sure that Philly isn't winning out.

If we don't beat them then the Giants will, and we'll beat Dallas.

So we're in. It's just a question of how much we have to sweat lol.

I feel more confident about this game than I did the Dallas game at home.

I got a bad feeling about this...

Of course you do, it's a divisional game in prime time on the road. I think many of us do after the Dallas game, a winnable game we were just not ready for. While I wouldn't call us a good team, I've seen enough from them to say with confidence there good enough to beat Philly. While we all know the players have to execute, Coaching staff better have done a better job getting the guys up for this one, and have a solid game plan to take advantage of Philly's weaknesses. If they come out blitzing the shit out of us like Dallas did, and the staff haven't anticipated that, and have a counter for it, we're screwed, blued, and tattooed.....

Okay (we're having this discussion at work)... IF and I say IF we lose against Philly, Philly HAS to lose against the Giants and we have to beat Dallas right?

Merry Christmas all,

Hey, shouldn't you be on elf duty building toys for those darling little ones instead of posting here LOL

I'm actually surprised Snyder hasn't sent out invoices for playoff tickets yet

No matter the result tomorrow night, for the first time in a long time I feel that we are finally headed in the right direction.

I'm in the exact same boat as Tom. Cautiously optimistic but the Dallas game really, REALLY hurt. A well played victory against the birds would help.

I'm in Yoda mode. Try? There is no try. Do - or do not!

It doesn't matter what we expect. It comes down to what kind of guys we have on this team and how bad they want to seize this opportunity - plain and simple. Screw beating Dallas and praying the Giants win in the final week. We need to settle this now.

I am probably going to skip our chat this week, for two reasons. Firstly, my daughter is home for just the one night, so while obviously the game will be on, I can at least be 'present' with her. Secondly, I know at the first sign of adversity the hand-wringing and 'we're all gonna die!' doom and gloom will start. And for me, that takes away the enjoyment of watching the game. I don't mean that as a slam on anyone. Everyone is different and for some I guess that's sort of a 'whistling past the graveyard' strategy so that if things do go south, maybe it's not quite so painful. But I hope you guys will chat and that it's a great game and a great couple of hours spent together.

Take it to them Captain Kirk and company! We got this.

Hoping that we have the luxury of deciding whether or not to rest our starters next weekend.

The point spread is coming down a little, with Washington now only a 2 1/2 point underdog.

Enjoy your daughter, we'll miss you in the chat. If we're slaughtering them, maybe you'll have a minute to drop in and enjoy a few minutes of "hell yeah!!!" :)

Merry Christmas

The Dallas loss was not just because it was Dallas, it was the opportunity to get something done by the team going forward in the moment.

I didn't have a real problem until the end with all the weirdness that I thought this team was done with, kinda like the wart popping up again after having frozen it off for one last time.

I'm also with Chris, the team has made strides, overcome opportunities for dysfunction and made it's for a relatively pleasing season........ just want more and the chance still exists to get it.

Even if we loose out (arg!) while still playing well (the caveat), one can only feel things are getting better, disappointing but better.

I don't think the Dallas loss means anything. Teams win some, they lose others. Despite their awful season, Dallas is not awful. In fact, I doubt you could find a talent evaluator who wouldn't put them at the top of the talent rankings in the NFC East. We could already have sealed the division with that win - that's true. But it's no more a harbinger of doom than some of the great wins we've had (including last week's) are guarantees of victory or a positive destiny.

Just win baby.

Not so much a harbinger of doom Boone just a massive deflation at the time.
Just taking a steady-on approach for now.
The team is a resilient one as we've seen in recent history.

harbinger of doom Boone........ that has a ring to it..... sorta.

Yep, just win baby
