What's been your favorite moment of the 2024 Commander's season?

Yeah, I’m all about that Eagles game. 5 tds thrown against what was the best pass defense in the league. Plus, what an ending
 
Not really a moment, but that Bengals game was special. Monday night, national audience and a near flawless game from JD and the offense. I remember driving to work that next morning and having some kind of feeling about this team that I haven't felt in a long long time. I'm excited for next weekend, but also excited to watch AP doing his thing this off-season

We have the best young QB in the game and I believe it will be proven out we have the best young GM in the game.
 
The Atlanta game. 11 wins for the first time since '91. A playoff clinching game. The OT drive. More than any other game, I feel like that was the one this season where Daniels literally willed this team to victory and carried them on his back and wouldn't allow them to lose.
 
This is so impossible to answer. RG3's rookie year was so magical and i didn't think I could ever feel that excitement again. But this year trumps that. Ive always went thru the season starting off thinking we were unstoppable just to be let down very fast. This year Jaydens poise just gave a calmness. I juat knew each game this is a fun ride and we got this. Every team has a little stretch that's bumpy and we had that too. But we were competitive each and every week. So that all being said i guess loke others above have said the Bengals game was the beginning of seeing just how special Jayden is. But beating Phili and Dallas always are awesome expecially how we pulled out the wins at the end against those teams. Im happy we get to play the Bucs again. I really believe we can and will beat them. HTTR
 
I'm gonna go with the ending of the Eagles game. The Hail Mary was fun, but had a certain element of luck. The way JD coolly moved them down the field for the game winning score, after the team had 5 TOs was something to behold.

Plus, it was against a division rival, which makes it all the better.

I never thought we were out of a game in RG3's rookie year until that Seattle game. That one I knew we were out, because RG3 refused to get out and it was easy to see the Defense knew his limitations.

That said, winning under Synder always felt like it would be temporary.

This feels different due to the ownership change for me.

I think the best moment - I agree with China - it had to be the Eagles game, and for the same reason. Nothing told us (and maybe the rest of the NFL) that we have a QB this year more than that game and that moment. He took the team on his back for that game.

I'm going to quibble in a most happy way.

Yesterday, we saw that "calmness" was not the sole attribute of Jayden Daniels. Daniels had an off day and to protect him, Quinn benched him. That "calm" and refusal to quit then manifested anyway.

That moxie is a team trait this year. That calm and belief goes beyond the franchise QB. They didn't lay down and give up once Daniels was benched. They didn't lay down and give up when the Cowboys took the lead back. They didn't give up the crazy kickoff return on the very last play because they figured the game was over.

And I love that.
 
What a difficult question - but for the awesome reason of there being so many moments to choose from!

I have to go with the Hail Mary. Because it was such an amazing play in and of itself. But also because I shared that moment with my 11 year old daughter. Who called it. She said "A miracle can happen Daddy. We're still going to win!" and the jubilation that ensured is a core memory. And also, my brother in-law is one of those arrogant Chicago Bears fans. He gave me so much shit after last year's beat-down and then leading up to this game. But then after that play - I got to lay it on thick! And for the rest of the season too. LOL reveling in being petty.

Otherwise:
-Bengals game - because that cemented in my mind that JD5 is a baller!
-Last minute clutch, big time wins against Philly and ATL

An amazing season. And we're jut getting started.
 
I can’t choose one. If I had, to I think the Hail Mary because to me it feels like the moment the fortunes of this franchise shifted permanently after the damage done by a quarter century of the worst owner in sports. Its as if the football gods said “Washington you can now have nice things again.”

Brown does not catch that ball on a DS owned team, regardless of QB.
 
If I can be that annoying guy for a moment, my favourite moment(s) hasn't actually been on the field but has been a by product of what has happened there. Don't get me wrong, the play has been exhilarating after nigh on thirty years of drek, but what I've enjoyed is the way the team is being spoken about now.

Listen to any podcasts over the last few years and Washington has always been a joke or in some cases actively hated. Now, with new ownership, a hot young QB and a decent team I can actually hear my team talked about like a proper professional outfit. It's a lovely breath of fresh air.

While that isn't my favorite bit I will say I love seeing Redskins colors around town. All of a sudden you are seeing B&G in stores, the mall, and elsewhere.

This is a super great point. Yes. JD is the one, and he's shown over and over again that he relishes having the game on the line and the ball in his hands. But to see the team be without JD under center and still manifest that same effort and spirit, it was magical. I wondered, just for a moment, if they might put JD back in for that last drive. The fact that they didn't speaks volumes about the coaching belief in the guys on this roster (as flawed as the roster may be in general).
 
I’m with the OP and others… It has to be the Hail Mary. It was truly the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in person! The massive celebration in the stands, and on the way out to the parking lot was unforgettable.
 
One other note about the Hail Mary game.

For twenty years, whenever a team was facing hard times if they played the Redskins their season got a bump. We were everybody's get-right team. Against Chicago, you had a 5-2 team vs. a 4-2 team. Chicago was by far the more hyped team in the early part of the season. Even if Daniels was getting a lot of love, there were a lot of folks saying the Bears were serious play off contenders (especially in the preseason.) They were a team with a great defense, fantastic weapons, and now they had the QB that everyone had been waiting on for two years.

When Chicago faced us, they didn't need a get-right game. We were the team everyone was dismissing as the one that had not beaten anyone. The Bears were a team about to announce itself to the league. Heck, our QB was limping and we weren't even sure he would play.

Then, the game happened. Not only were we not the Bears' launchpad. We ended their season. They completely fell a t

Now, you may be saying that we got Rivera fired in Carolina because losing to the 'skins was not allowed. But this may be the first time in twenty years that instead of being the team others used to catapult their season that we were the ones who used the win as rocket fuel. We used Chicago as our get-right game.

Yep. Also it was awesome to see JDs jubilation at the exploits of his teammates. He never gets that fired up for his own exploits, he just kinda smirks like lol as he torches the defense.

He has repeatedly said how much he enjoys playing football. I think it's that simple. He really and truly enjoys his job. He's really good at it too, which helps. I remember reading how Wagner and Luvu would come in at 5am to start their workouts. At that time, there is usually one or two guys in the building. One of those two (according to them) is pretty consistently JD. Talent can take you a long way but hard work is what takes you to the heights we've seen this year.
 
It was. There was no sulking about getting benched at all. Every cutaway when we scored showed Daniels whooping it up!

And when you get both, you got yourself a superstar!! Still hard to believe how our luck has taken such a complete 180 in a few short years. Rising from the agony of thinking we were stuck with the Snidely shit show for life, to having this phenomenal and likable player and a team we can be completely proud of. Can’t wait for the next game!
