What should they do with RG3

I agree it's not really a fair discussion since it can't be proven. I brought it up because I think it casts doubt on the whole 'this organization is toxic and destroys anything that is good' premise. I understand the sentiment - I just believe that the 'toxicity' isn't limited to Dan Snyder, sometimes it's about who who hitch our wagon to.

I think we all put way too much thought and emotional investment into something we have no freaking control over. I choose to compartmentalize it all. RG3 chapter seems to be closing. Sucks it went the way it did. Don't matter why cause I have no control over it. This is probably the true beginning of the MCCL chapter. Only thing left major he might do is drop Gruden if things go south. We'll just have to wait and see. For me, I'm gonna put the past in the past and look forward to what comes. I'm yet again hoping for some incremental improvement over the course of the season. Some indicator we're headed up finally.
 
The irony in all the "What to do with RGIII" talk is that now the change has been made, the local contrarian station has also had to change course. It's narrative went from "You know, if this was really fair, there would be a true QB competition and KC1 would probably win it" to "You know, now that KC1 has been given the reigns, is the Offense really much better?"

Well, I certainly give Gruden credit for finally taking the responsibility upon himself. First hint of leadership he's shown, IMO.

If Kirk has a repeat of his last starting gigs, meaning no improvement, Gruden will be held responsible. As he should be. I'm not a hater, so don't go there. But for many among us, the lack of visible improvement, anywhere last season, is why little to no faith is held in him. I'm on record saying I believe he will improve, and turn into a fine coach, here. But I'm sure it's based more on my chosen optimism, than anything else.

Back to Robert, if he'll renegotiate his option to be more team friendly, after clearing the concussion protocols, maybe even a 2yr deal, then I say we keep him. Having 3 QB's with experience, and knowledge of the system, is a fine luxury to have.

And of course, this is contingent on everybody putting on their big boy pants, and dealing with the possible drama. Which grown men can do. If they will.

Besides, Kirk could be kidnapped by ISIS tomorrow. And Colt could be turned into a frog, by a witch.
Where would that leave us then?
 
With a very high draft pick.

I actually think most are pretty good about admitting when they were way off or wrong on a stand or prediction. Where we could all up our game (and I sincerely mean all) is not being so GD adamant and sure we know what's what definitively during times of change. We will someday know whether moving on here was the right call or not. I wish we could all at least acknowledge whether we are handwringing and angrily blame storming on Griffin's latest demotion, or heralding it as a gutty and necessary move forward, that each of us could be horribly wrong and that it remains to be seen how that looks down the road. I wish we could really agree it's okay to respectfully disagree. Instead there's too often a reply starting with 'With all due respect....' usually followed by something in no way particularly respectful. We used to do better and I wish we'd commit to trying to be friendlier with each other. When it's hard to be, I think that's when it's most important to be.
