What are your Hobbies??

For the record, I've stated repeatedly that I'm not a fishing expert, never claimed to be. But there are some basic fallacies being pushed in this thread, that my internet-arguing soul cannot allow to pass freely. :D
Even though you admittedly have no idea what you're talking about? Good to know :)

We need a dick measurement thread.
Thread? Maybe for you guys.....I need a rope, and this page isn't big enough

I guess we can add "reading" to the list of things you're not good at. :D
So my list compared to your list of things we're not good at.....

Extreme
Reading
Playing Well With Others
Letting Others Have The Last Word

Lanky
Fishing
Being Sexy
Life

Yup. They last forever. Just wind it into a big 5 gallon bucket and freeze when not in use.

yep...used all the parts of livestock that are tough for years....

When commercial fishing for that tropical species known as grouper in that arctic tundra known as North Carolina we use octopus tentacles. Same thing, one leg will catch you 20 fish and you salt and freeze it to use again another day. Sometimes when they broke you off in the rocks you would miss that bait more than the fish.

Hey Ex, where'd you catch that delicious Orange Roughy? Costco?

The only time I've ever had Orange Roughy, I caught it in the wilds of Trader Joe's. :D

Northeast of Nova Scotia. I don't buy anything I can catch myself. I know it's a foreign concept to some people that there are people who like to grow, catch, hunt their own food, but we do exist. I get as little food as I possibly can from the grocery store. And loving the outdoors doesn't hurt either :)

For the record, I'm a Sam's Club member. Costco is in Norfolk around here, and I do everything in my power to never have a reason to go to Norfolk.

Who's boat were you on Jaques Cousteau?
My Uncle's boat. Any reason for the pointless questions?

For more answers to questions that may be coming.....

1. It was blue and white.

2. It was a 70 ft commercial scallop boat that we'd take all up and down the east coast and fish on when he wasn't scallop trawling.

3. It was made out of steel.

4. It was almost 40 years old.

5. It smelled like piss.

6. The broken and rusted rigging fell off and almost killed us once.

7. The seas off Nova Scotia suck.

8. I was never the captain.

9. Our engine cut out once and we had to be towed in.

10. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die.

Because you "caught" orange roughy "because you could." Like it was an all the time occurrence. It just doesn't fit and off course there's your tone where you talk down to others in this thread.

Were you using an "orange roughy rig" when you caught said fish?

Would love to see pictures of your uncles boat. What port did he work out of because I've lived in many of them?

Ex, is this the boat you were on when you caught the Orange Roughy?

Ex PM'd me this picture of his trip; I totally believe him now.

I never said I caught them all the time, I never implied I caught them all the time, I used a reef rig. As for the picture.....

Did I say I caught them because I could? Because I don't recall ever saying that. You imply that I previously said I caught them, which I never even hinted at. I didn't even go into the roughy fishing until you decided to inexplicably probe into it. I've caught sharks too, do I need a play by play for that to satisfy you too? I used a very long, very thick rod. Your mom can verify ;)

I would love to see pictures of the boat too, but I don't have any pictures of it. My Uncle died last month, the boat is long gone, and I have no way to get pictures. Sorry if that doesn't meet your requirements of me telling about an experience from my life. Do you drive a car? Where was it built? Where is it garaged at? How far have you driven it? What color is it? Do you have pictures of it? Liar.

Honestly though, I really don't give two ****s what you or anyone else thinks about anything. That much I thought had long been made clear here. Me and Lanky have gone back and forth forever, but it's just our thing we do apparently. I hold no ill will or thoughts toward Lanky, it's just as fun as it is frustrating sometimes. He's about the only person who can make me laugh and be pissed at the same time. I was under the impression we had worked out our issues, but maybe I misread things. You're just being a dick to be a dick though, that's my job chump :brood:

Damn, you went all the way to Asia to fish?
The Asia of the west
