I’m liking this pick more and more. Just listening to him, looking at his great combine and highlights, what an impressive young man. Can’t wait to see him on the field.

He reminds me a lot of JD, mannerisms, the way he talks about his drive etc. Loving this pick.

Really happy with this pick. Seems like a tremendous athlete and person. Made me think to when's the last time we drafted a LB with his potential. Certainly been a minute.

He was everywhere. I watched intently, hoping to see Downs put on a show. He made a couple of plays, but it was Sonny and (to a lesser extent) their DT who really stood out. Reese was nearly invisible.

I think Reese is such a risky pick. Love his athleticism and violence. But he’s not really a pure LB, and doesn’t have a lot of pass rush chops yet. And, can he cover?

I think he’d be good in a Flores scheme, but he’s not.

If I were the NYG, I would have taken Styles over Reese. And that’s not hindsight. I said that Styles had all of the makings of a perfect modern day linebacker, length, coverage ability, speed, and that I would take him over Reese, way back in the draft thread.
