this dude stood on his head while Sammy was out and now he could be pushing to be our long term starter.
He did a stellar job stepping into what could've turned into a big mess and derailed a season early. Too soon to know what he's got long term but kudos for not getting the jitters as easy as it would've been in this circumstance.
didnt' say he would get it, but coming into the season he likely woudln't even be on the big club because Lundqvist was going to be rotational piece with Sammy... We could do a lot worse that Vanecek and Sammy battling it out over the course of the year and into next offseason depending on what the Kraken do.
Agreed, especially since expansion teams don't get the shaft anymore like they used to, not saying I prefer an expansion team to suck for a decade like back in the day but it's definitely evolved to be a tad bit too favorable after how it went for the G.Knights.
