Vegas: Redskins Favored By 6 Over Jacksonville

Sweet. That means the D will pitch a shutout since the Redskins can only score 6 points.

I have this horrible vision of our defense knocking out Henne and turning Blake Bortles into Peyton 2.0.

Don't go there LOL Bortles is gonna be a dam good QB one way or another.

Honestly I'd feel LESS comfortable if Bortles was playing. Bortles is gonna be a good QB.

I think we will be ok. It's all gonna depend on Gruden and McVay, and their playcalling. We SHOULD be able to run the ball effectively, and the best thing we can do is ride Morris and Helu to a win, giving Griff a chance to throw the ball.. Not running end arounds and trick plays. Last week I was screaming for a WR screen to Djax, this week... Im not sure I want to see that play called 1 time. Granted I say that now, and he'll probably break a screen to the house lol.

I'd like to see some really spread stuff on passing downs. DJax and Robinson on the right side, both hitting the afterburners, with Jackson going straight up the flat, Robinson crossing deep. Garson on the other side, with a shallow crossing, and Young releasing to the left after a chip block. Stuff like that always seems to screw up at least one defensive back, and that's all it takes.

Especially off play action... I bet you Jax is spending the majority of the time trying to stop our rush offense, and will commit to that until we give them a reason not to. I wouldn't mind our first offensive play being a Play Action boot, sending Jackson in a straight line as fast as he can go. Even if it doesn't convert, it could soften up the box a bit.

I expect a pretty impressive showing and in the grand scheme of things it won't mean a bunch. I believe the Texans to be a much better team than what they showed last season. Jax? Not so much...I want the win and it's a must win in my opinion. I just don't want to hear the chest pumping and chirping from the team until they take out the Eagles...Leave the boasting to us sports fans and media.

I still think a long run for Robert will soften things up more, but I like the long pass to set the tone. As long as it's the right tone of course...

He redshirted his first season. He is eligible to enter the draft next spring.
