Tom Brokaw called them the greatest generation...the sacrifices made by those who saw tyrannical forces throughout the world threatening our very freedom, were paralleled only by those fighting to maintain a Union and those fighting to establish the greatest country mankind has ever seen. Those who fought in WWII simply tell us they were doing their duty...duty, a word seemingly lost today. They did far more than just their duty, they gave everything. While entirely too many gave their lives, most gave a big part of themselves so that we could live free.

I try not to revere man, but these men and women deserve it. God Bless all who fought to end the 2nd World War.
