We have some football coach members here who occasionally educate us …

One thing about BGO - unlike some other sites that are heavily controlled and ‘moderated’ we like to let threads happen organically by members vs us creating threads and forcing folks to post where we want them to.

We do try to keep folks on topic so every thread doesn’t turn into a general chat, and we do have some exceptions like putting news thread links in the Breaking News forum. I think people coming from other sites sometimes are afraid to start threads. New threads are a great thing - hell, we have a Raw Egg thread and why not have one if folks want to talk about it?

So if someone has an interest in specific offensive or defensive schemes they want to talk about, they should start one.
 
I like this idea for a thread. Learning how to look at practices or even preseason games can be fun. It's one of the reasons I sometimes enjoy listening to Logan Paulsen.

On the other hand, there is always the danger of KDawg writing a fifteen page post on proper stretching techniques. On the other, other hand, it would probably benefit me to realize how much I've been doing wrong during stretching or the weight room.
 
If you have specific questions, feel free to ask. I, and others, will help where we can. Keep in mind, scheme isn’t one size fits all and we can’t always elaborate on what is happening because we have no idea what they are trying to accomplish. But there are educated guesses that can be made.
