It's not like star players haven't demanded trades and got their money anyway. This is a very unlikely trade between two division rivals.

I don't care and neither should you.

I'm convinced folks will line up to catch passes from JD.

So my lack of concern replacing McLaurin predates Micah saying he's done in Dallas.

Elite pass rusher like him would put us over the top in a way Terry can't, and that's why Terry ain't getting the money he wants. There's no nice way to say that.

It's tough to even have this conversation...I have his jersey, I got a 2T for two of my kids to share.

So with that said....there's no way it's a player for player trade.

So I propose we package Terry and a 1st (which would again be a high second because how low in the first round it's gonna be) for Parsons.

I
don't care how well Terry does in Dallas because adding Parson to the defense would make it championship caliber.

Who's fuckin with JD and Parsons on the same team?

No one...kneel to Zod.

Dallas knows this so we'd have to make it worth it to them.

Dak contract becomes realistic to get out of after 2026 (save money with respect to dead cap money)

So case can be made to get him as many weapons as they can during what basically is a last window and chance to prove he's worth what he's getting paid (he'll be 34 going into 2027 season)

Dallas is going to fail...their mismanagement with Jerry Jones has never been more clear and not our problem...if he wants a last hooray before he feels he can't do it anymore...abide that dude and don't apologize for it.

I'd give Terry and two 1st rounders for Parsons then watch teams shiver when they have to play us for years.

I'd do it in a heart beat:
  1. Parsons is 26
  2. If he's not the best player at his position, he's not outside the top 5, probably not the top 3
  3. He knows and loves working with our coaching staff
  4. He'd break the single season sack record each game against the Cowboys.

It would never happen. And we would probably have to trade Terry + something for Parsons.

I love Terry, but:
  1. He's 30
  2. He's not the best at his position. Maybe 5-10, more likely 7-13.

The only reason we even able to have this conversation is because how stupid Dallas is being with Micah.

That Man is worth the price of admission whether they can afford it or not.

They only gonna have $8 million in cap space next offseason with Parsons an UFA.

It's a nice thought experiment, I hope the call happens...some players are worth that kinda bag, some arent.

They already have CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens…Mclaurin adds no value to them and still holds a lot of value to us (and no doubt some other teams). I would even say one of our RBs would hold more value to the Cowboys than Terry would…their running backs room was ranked last for the upcoming season.

So…Brian Robinson, a 1st and a 3rd lol…Done!!

Yeah, I mean, I think the possibility of Micah being traded here under any circumstance is about the same as finding Sydney Sweeny and Margot Robbie having a topless dip in my hot tub while drinking red wine during a snow storm. While not absolutely impossible, it's just not going to happen. (eliminate the red wine in the snow, it definitely becomes more likely though...)

So the whole thing is just a silly thought experiment.

And in the context of a silly thought experiment, Jerrah definitely could use another WR to pair with Dak, because that would, at least in his mind, put them over the edge.

Yeah, I'd love to trade McLauren one on one for Parsons, but the Cowboys need more than that.

We need to convince Chad Ochocinco to end his retirement and sign with us. THEN we trade him and McLauren together. Chad's worth like 5 first round draft picks, so that should be enough.

I’d do it.

But more importantly I appreciate how realistic your proposal is.

I when I opened the thread I assumed you’d say what I’ve heard there say over the last two weeks - a straight up trade. The idea that you could straight up trade these two (by some) makes me laugh. Parsons is worth so much more than mclaurin. A 1st or two sounds right. And yeah I’d do it.

Ummmm…what?

I think if we can get Adam Peters to pretend to be Jay-Z on the phone, we might just end up with Micah after all lol..,

““Because when we have a problem with the player, the agent is nowhere to be found. Jay-Z said that Dez would make all meetings. Jay-Z and I negotiated the contract, spent hours. He said, ‘Anybody in my organization is on time.' He said, 'My office used to be on the street corner, and I’ve always been early. So, they will be on time.’ And what did I say? I said, ‘I’m going to call you [when I have a problem].’ He quit taking my call.”

“Cowboys owner Jerry Jones while talking about contract negotiations with Micah Parsons: "When I grew up I knew when momma wouldn’t let me do something, going to daddy and daddy letting me do it. Then going back in and saying to momma, ‘Daddy said I could do it.’ That old momma/daddy stuff, we got here doing that by nature. We’re not going to do that."

I’m half-expecting Jerruh to start talking about glory holes again lol…

Micah will play out his final year of the contract and then get franchised

Honestly think Jerry realizes he is never winning a Super Bowl again so now he's just having fun and saying whatever he wants with no regard. His tongue has always been quick and candid but taking shots at some of your best and prior players isn't a great way to business. He has no one to keep him in check, and he behaves accordingly while quickly informing everyone that Dallas is his team.
