I don't know how many times I've said... why are other teams able to turn it around in 1 season, and we're not. It's our turn... finally !

Love the Latimore pick up.. definitely risky.. but we need to ride this wave all in, especially at the biggest position of need. Now Peters just needs to get Jerry on the phone and trade Forbes for a 4th.... c'mon Jerry!

It might have been nice to see another edge rusher, but I think we're fine. The offense is firing on all cyllinders, Noah Brown is playing like a legit #2, Ertz has been solid, and Terry is scary. More, Luke and Sinnott are improving so we have some high end potential. I don't think we wan to mess up what we have going on offense.

Think about it this way... At least on BGO, no one has complained about Andrew Wylie this season. He's been solid. For whatever reason, the offense works. In fact, it better than works. It is excelling.

Jerry traded his fourth for Mingo, but I'll take a bath and accept the Cowboy's third rounder for our former first rounder (actually they do have a bunch of injuries in the defensive backfield. They could use Forbes.)
 
I fell asleep for a while but holy shit!

We got an excellent CB.

When is the last time we had one of those? Maybe a year of DeAngelo Hall or Shawn Springs 20 years ago.

Sigh, remember when we put Darrell Green, Champ Bailey, and Deion Sanders on the field at the same time.
 
Lattimore has given up all of 1TD in his last 50 games played covering teams #1 WRs . . . this year opponents have a QB Rating of 76 when attempting to pass his way. He is by far our #1 corner, and only 28 years old. Yes, health has been a concern, but he seems healthy so far this year!

This can help us a LOT!! Not only will it help us shore up the secondary, but will allow us to put more men in the box to slow the run game down instead of having two deep safeties on every play. Hopefully he can get up to speed quickly!!! I like this move quite a bit! Not just a 1 year rental either, two more years after this year under contract at $18 mill cap hits . . . not bad for a #1 corner in today's NFL!!

The is the concern with him . . . AZ radio guys were just stating they feel he is pretty much ready to go and that injury might have lingered on the Saints, but was more about desire. They could be wrong as well. Hopefully he can play for us soon as we can really use someone of that caliber in the secondary!

My hope is this is a force multiplier. Assuming Lattimore is healthy (I think he will be just fine) he will immediately (or reasonably immediately) take the top receiver, which will allow St. Juste to NOT take the top receiver, and probably push Sainristill back inside to his more natural position of nickel.

I'm guessing in 2 CB sets it will be Lattimore, St. Juste and Sainristill. When they go 2 CBs, they probably go Lattimore and Sainristill.

Since it doesn't appear as though they traded Forbes, this could mean he spends most of the rest of the year inactive. And could be traded in the off-season, or they could wait until camp next year to cut him if he doesn't show incredible improvement.
 
Excited by this pick-up. Initial thought was we gave up too much, but digging deeper it's not quite as much as it looks on the surface. I'm sure AP will acquire more draft capital closer to the draft, too.

Can't wait to see him play and hoping he becomes a key piece of the team for a few years.
