A loss like that on this team would cripple us. For New England? It doesn't even matter.

Brady has always had superb protection. His offensive line has always been the engine for their "pick 'n roll" offense.
 
There's an argument to be made that those lines have been aided tremendously by playing in front of a QB who knows how the modern game works and manages it as well as anyone ever has. We'll never know of course, but it is fair to wonder how those same lines would have faired with a revolving door of average QBs behind them.
 
In the NFL version of the chicken or the egg...

I'd give the chicken (qb) 75% of the credit.
 
A closer look at why the Redskins’ run game is struggling

By drafting guard Brandon Scherff with the fifth overall pick back in April’s draft, general manager Scot McCloughan made a statement that the Redskins were going to be physical and run the ball. For the first few weeks, that’s exactly what they were. A strong rushing attack, along with solid play from the defense, made the Redskins competitive. But in the past two weeks, Washington ran for a combined 85 yards, picking up just 34 yards against the Jets.

Granted, the Redskins played the Jets without starting offensive linemen Trent Williams and Kory Lichtensteiger. However, Lichtensteiger had not been playing that well, and the other players failed to step up. I wanted to see more from Scherff and Morgan Moses, who became the experienced side of the offensive line despite starting the season as the least experienced.

There can be no doubt that we will draft a center next spring. Lich got old, fast. Having Lauvao back will help, but we probably draft another guard as well. We have youth on the right side, but those positions are secure far into the future.

Hers' just a taste of Becoming Morgan Moses

Chapter three begins when a large, semi-sloppy lump of clay enters training camp in Richmond Virginia. The Morgan Moses experiment was under way. The staff quickly tried to integrate Moses at right tackle, but there was much work to do before he was even remotely close to gaining meaning snaps for this football team. Even though incumbent right tackle Tyler Polumbus was highly ineffective, Moses was worse. The slow feet, the sloppy set-up, and the waist-bending were evident. To make matters worse, Moses' current body type was not conducive for the pure zone blocking scheme that offensive line coach Chris Foerster was running in DC. Moses struggled mightily as a rookie, playing sparingly. He played in 8 games, logging one start(at left tackle). When All-Pro Trent Williams went down with an injury against Tampa Bay, Moses was inserted at left tackle. He showed why he was a project in that game against the Bucs, but it was the following week, when he started against the 49ers, that his weaknesses were truly exposed. Moses was a human blocking dummy against San Francisco's pass rush, looking much more like the rookie NFL scouts saw, than the player once projected to go in the middle of the first round. His embarrassing performance left Redskins fans longing for the days of Stephon Heyer.

When a few wanted to cut him last year saying he was a bust, I said it's to early to call him a bust.
third rounders generally don't start making an impact till their second year some do earlier some later

I was one...it appears, I was wrong.
 
Patience is a good thing, for sure. But it's hard for me to blame anyone who was upset with Moses after his play last year. The two games he got in for were... horrendous. He looked awful, definitely not starter-worthy material.

I am thrilled with the rejuvination of our OLine, and the infusion of youth. I would be thrilled if McL keeps picking 2-3 OLinemen every draft for depth and competition.
 
I've always liked moses. I named my dog moses and planted 76 flowers in my yard.

I've always known he was the best.
