ANNOUNCEMENT OF INACTIVES


PHILADELPHIA – The Washington Redskins have announced the following inactives and lineup changes for today’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles:

The Redskins declared the following players as inactive:

o No. 2 QB Nate Sudfeld
o No. 19 WR Rashad Ross
o No. 31 RB Matt Jones
o No. 41 S Will Blackmon
o No. 61 C Spencer Long
o No. 72 DE Anthony Lanier II
o No. 77 G Shawn Lauvao

No. 29 Duke Ihenacho is expected to start in place of Blackmon at safety.
No. 56 John Sullivan is expected to start in place of Long at center.
No. 74 Arie Kouandjio is expected to start in place of Lauvao at left guard.

Hopefully, Arie plays well at LG and we can leave Lauvao on the inactive list for the remainder of the season as it appears we are going to do with Matt Jones.

Lauvao was a horrible signing by Bruce and Co in 2014.

He was let go by the Browns, who didn't try and resign him, after he was their #3 pick in 2011.

At the time the Browns lacked talent on the offensive line across the board.

That signing in free agency was a real head-scratcher and remains one to this day.
