Thoughts And Prayers Up For Our Own Burgundy Burner

All the best thoughts and wishes I can muster are headed your way, BB. You are a huge part of the foundation of BGO and vaued more than you may realize. Follow doctor's orders, keep fighting and we'll be cheering your return.

Continue to give him our best, Mike. So good to hear he's doing better.

I had not checked in here for awhile and this was the first thread I saw so obviously a bummer. I can definitely empathize as I went down about a month ago for a stroke but I was only in the hospital for a one night stand (I'm not back to work but at least rehabbing at home).

Good Luck, BB and hoping for a speedy recovery! Recovery takes as long as it takes - there are no shortcuts. Patience and small steps.

JB, I'm happy to see you on the site again. I was wondering where you had been. I'm sorry about the stroke.....but glad to hear you are recovering. Welcome back.

Update: I actually spoke with Ken on the phone for the first time today. And he sounded like a million bucks.

Several members of his family are with him at the hospital and now it's time to start his recovery.

He's still unable to get on BGO, but wanted to express his thanks to everyone on this site for all of the thoughts and prayers.

Ken, best of luck with the recovery. Get back to 100% health.

I am humbled by this like you can't imagine. Wow.

Ok...

Hi everyone. I got home in the last hour or so. Yes, I had a stroke. My left side took the brunt of it and now the rehab process starts tomorrow. I am getting around with the use of a walker and help from loved ones.

This will take time. It's a setback and I will confront it head-on. This is emotional for all involved. My life has changed since last Wednesday. I sure would like your prayers. Am I scared? I was. Terrified was more like it. This a challenge I now embrace. If they tell me to raise my leg or arm ten times, I will do so fifteen times.

I'll post a pic in a bit at my FB page. I'm smiling in it even if you can't tell. Give me thirty days. I'm going to win. But I need your good thoughts and prayers.

God bless, everyone. You've made me tear up. Alright, let's do this.

You got this Ken!

I gave my hospital bed a name - Lumpy Potatoes. I hated that bed.

Good luck man. You've got all the fight in you needed to get yourself back to full.

I love the fighting spirit you are displaying. Just know we are behind you 100% of the way.

I hit your Facebook page but it's worth repeating here. Take care of yourself Ken and get well soon, the community is decidedly less without you around!

Godspeed, Man! Glad you're feeling better!

Ken, You are and always have been one of the best members here. I am so deeply sorry that this happened to you as well as very sorry that I hadnt checked in and missed providing you prayers when you needed them most.

My whole family will pray for you daily. You will be back to 100%, your attitude and spirit will accept no less!

Best wishes my Burgundy brother!

Prayer lifted BB. Glad you're home and on to recovery.

Of course you're going to win.
You're just like all the Redskin's prospects that you scout, and highly tout : tough, strong, durable, and speedy (as in speedy recovery),
