I think the worst owner of 2022 was Dan Synder. Luckily that is not an option anymore. So, who is the worst owner going into 2025? Here is a list of teams and NFL owners:
The poll didn't let me have 32-choices, so I took Josh Harris off, because... well... duh.
I also took the Green Bay Packers off.
I left everyone else on, even though I think all/most will agree:
Jeff Lurie is not.
Hunt is not.
- you pretty much can't make the Super Bowl and be the worst owner unless you have some serious controversies. They do not.
I don't think anyone is going to put Kraft / Pats.
- too many recent Super Bowls / success.
I think it's tempting to say Jerry, just because it's the Cowboys, and he is meddlesome, however I think their team has a fair amount of talent. He is not the owner Snyder was. Snyder was just the reverse-Midas, he would turn gold into sewage. Jones is not that, in a lot of ways. He is a slimeball from a lot of accounts, but he certainly knows how to market and shmooze which Snyder did not, and his team definitely has had some talent.
I think for me, it's probably the Browns. I think Haslam has been involved in some controversies, although they haven't stuck yet. So I guess that part isn't the sinker it was with Snyder. The football decisions, however, are just on a level of putrid that can't be ignored.
MS Copilot claims Stephen Ross (Miami) has the biggest controversies, with tampering and offering incentives to lose games. I don't know, that's really bad, but for me I still pick Haslam as the worst owner. I am curious what others think.
