One of the most controversial aspects of the lame and poorly executed transition to the 'Washington Commanders' brand has been fan reaction to the 3 new uniforms. What's your overall vibe on the Commanders current uniforms? Multiple choices are allowed in this poll.

I have a lot of opinions on this topic. Just to get it out of the way, I don't care about pants, or stripes on pants, or anything about the pants, lol. For me, it's all about the jersey and the logo. I am ambivalent about the logo simply because when you give your franchise a ubiquitous name like 'Commanders' and can't adequately define what that even means, coming up with a great logo is next to impossible. I'm holding out for a name change because the dumb current name has downstream effects of all kinds, principally making it next to impossible to come up with a cool logo and uniforms.

Of the 3 new uni's, the white is by far the worst. It's just god-awful. The burgundy is meh as well. I do think the little circle patch is well done as far as from a pure graphics standpoint. The black uni's, if one can set aside how un-Redskins-like they are, are 🔥. But that's a big caveat. Black simply isn't in (nor should it be) in our franchise color palette. I do think they are cool looking and I especially like the helmet.

The uniforms like the name launch just appear so disjointed, hastily thrown together, and amateurish. I don't see how you 'fix' them without a total rebrand. Rename the team the Washington Wolves and there will be endless possibilities for a super cool new logo and great uni's. Short of that, good luck fixing this mess.

I like the red helmet but the stripe should match the W.

Yeah - that's a great point. WTF?

I don’t care much about the pants but they should not be yoga pants.

It's not so much that I don't care at all about the pants, but there is so much glaringly wrong with the jerseys, I haven't even made my way to considering the pants, lol...

I agree with the above comments and the coloring of the stripe is such an example of the franchise’s disfunction with Tanya’s design of these “new” uniforms.

Specifically, the use of colors that really don’t match our traditional colors, which in my mind need to be brought back. Next, maybe it’s just me but they just seem “cheap” where very little thought was put into their design. However, despite my preference to bring back the more traditional colors - I do like the idea of a black uniform - just need to see some improvements in its design and construction.

I have zero issue with adding a black jersey into the rotation. The issue I have with these new uniforms is that the colors don’t match. They are different but still not unique. As other have said, the white jersey looks like the Cardinals and the black look too much like the Steelers. They should have made them unique to stand out if they were not going to keep the same colors. Also, why did they just change the shades of the colors instead of picking new colors? Go all or nothing there.

Lastly, I wasn’t a fan of the black jerseys until I saw them up close. They look much better in person than on TV. But my caveat is why so much yellow and not as much burgundy? I would have rather them emphasized the burgundy and outlined in gold vs the other way around which makes them look too much like the Steelers.

The Burgundy are growing on me. I would darken the burgundy a bit, and change the number font to match the white jersey below, but they're not far off.

The Whites are bad. For the love of god go back to these please. (FWIW JP Finlay has speculated that this could be happening sooner rather than later)

The black ones are off the mark, but I really like the idea of a dark alternate jersey. I think some tweaks could make it really good. This color scheme with some tweaks to the actual striping could be really good and remain connected to our franchise.

From the get go, I HATED every single aspect of these uniforms. There is not one good thing I can say about them other than stating that the burgundy matte look on the helmets is neat. Honestly, I feel as though the uniforms have contributed towards creating a disconnect between the franchise I love and myself - much more so than the name itself. I have said from the start that if a terrible name was chosen and we still resembled the Redskins, I would be much more accepting of all the nonsense that has transpired in regards to this. I feel like I am being forced into cheering for an expansion franchise, not the team I grew up loving and couldn't wait to watch on Sundays from afar. I own no Commanders gear and don't plan on doing so until the aesthetic is vastly improved.

I actually think we'd have been better off if they actually did treat it like a new franchise - with the only caveat being, Burgundy and Gold remained the color scheme. I think the biggest mistake they made was creating 3 jerseys with completely different designs. It's almost as if they couldn't decide on one look so they just did 3 distinctly different ones. So it's like we have 3 alternate jerseys and there IS no primary one.

It all starts with the name and the identity engendered by that name. No one knows WTF 'Commanders' is (other than vaguely military). If they wanted to go full-on military tribute, camo jerseys would've been the way to go. But they couldn't even commit to that theme.

When you walk down the middle of the highway you're going to get run over.

BTW - I know this is an old discussion topic - but we essentially are still right where we were from the name change announcement. I am trying to convince myself that they aren't doing a major uniform relaunch now because a name change may truly be on the table and they don't want to invest the time and money into new uniforms when a bigger long-term re-do is still a possibility.

The cardboard cut out design of the 'W' and 'Commanders' on the jerseys reminds me of club football not the NFL.

The black uniforms are an absolute abomination. Black alternates around the NFL to me don't wear as well as the regular uniforms outside of one or two clubs.

A lot of the teams that went with black alternates are clubs without the kind of history we have had here and the length of that history.

Jaguars? Cardinals? Lions?

Most of these teams use the uniforms as a marketing gimmick and most have not won a Super Bowl or had any long period of relative success in the league.

We need to start over again.

This is so much better looking than the current black jerseys. This feels like the Redskins, just a bit different. As much as Ron and Jason said they wanted to connect to the past, I believe they wanted to get away from it. The uniforms, the crest, the logo, it all seemed like a phony connection to the past but also half heartedly moving forward.

I think many of the fan designs, setting aside if you loved the names, for Wolves, Redwolves, Redtails, you name it.... were so far superior to what the team actually came up with as to be absolutely humiliating.

The average fan could have done better than the previous group did. A group like the one here would have nailed it.
