This is practical, not political. With the federal takeover of DC, there is no way the 2nd vote on 9/17 goes differently. The stadium is done.

Simply imparting the current President’s name in the context of something that he has previously said and that has been in the news and is relevant, at some level, to this site’s reason for being is not political. It’s just not.

They did not start doing demolition unless they knew it was a done deal, my two cents. Who is paying for the demolition by the way?

The old stadium has to come down now matter what the future of that real estate is. I think the RFK deal makes too much sense for it not to happen, but I don't think the demolition of the former stadium means anything. It had to come down no matter what the future holds.

I do believe we are good to go, but I will feel better when it’s officially done. In 5 years we will be back where we belong in a stadium that will hopefully be the envy of the NFL.

Apparently there has been some last minute verbal demands from the D.C. Counsel to the team. Must be why we have heard nothing yet.
