I’ve been watching and listening and it sounds like they’re finishing remarks prior to the vote. Sounds like the vote will pass easily.

Three amendments were all submitted by Councilman White, all three failed to pass. There was a 4th also he withdrew because one of the others failed.

Today’s DC City Council vote (1st vote, not the final vote that will take place in September) 9-3 in favor

Apparently there were two votes today, both passed 9-3. I think the second took place in a closed session. They cut off the feed after the first.

For all intents and purposes it’s done. The team is going home.

The vote on the 17th of September will have all 13 members voting if I have read correctly. Even if the 13th member is a no the final vote should be in favor 9-4.

They also have time to make some more adjustments before the final vote if they wish.

^^^^Multiple counsel members stated that today yes, but I don’t think the counsel has the horsepower now for it to make a difference. 3 were adamant about that issue. The others while respectful of their views were not.

This new HOG makes me feel like I'm walking out of Dachau alive. GB 'em! I that pray I can see a game, with my son and my brother, in the new stadium in 2030
