Very cool. Thing that jumped out at me the most was that both teams wore the same uniforms in those days. How in the hell they could determine where their own players were in the heat of the moment is beyond me! You'd have thought that would've been something they realized a lot sooner than they did.

Those games seriously look like a pickup Thanksgiving game where you know the guys on your team and you didn’t have actual uniforms lol.
Back then the forward pass wasn’t as much a part of the game either so you’re either running one direction on offense, and the defense was just trying to stop anyone coming toward them lol.

Yes - the old school NFL is kind of fascinating to me. I believe Chicago work dark blue and Redskins wore dark burgundy, and so when it was filmed in black and white, they showed dark jerseys for both sides. Then when it was colorized recently, the jerseys didn't come out right in color. But you can see the numbers are bigger on the Redskins jerseys. And the numbers are brighter for the Redskins. Also, the Redskins have an indian head logo on the sleeve. Note that Sammy played defense too. He makes a tackle at the 1:00 mark and maybe saves the game! Pretty cool.
Here is a more recent piece of nostalgia. This is one of my favorite Redskins photos. Some may recall that Chris Cooley scored three touchdowns in a Washington Dallas game in December 2005, Redskins won 35-7. I wish I had this framed on my office wall. Happy Thanksgiving!
