I'd be ok with it. Doc is a good players coach when he has veterans...imo, he struggles with young players.

I've never been too high on Doc mostly because he struggles with player rotations....if he has too many options to choose from, he screws the rotation up.

The other knock I have on him is that he has admitted that he schemes against offensive rebounding. I disagree with him on that philosophy and it's always rubbed me the wrong way.

He's been in Boston for 9 years now and if Ainge is going into rebuild mode, he might as well clear the decks on the coaching bench too.
 
That's a pretty solid and fair assessment. I agree.

He deserves a lot of credit for how much he gets out of the vets. He could improve in his use of the younger players.

KG may be 37 yrs old but he'd help the Clippers out especially when it came to setting the tone defensively.

Everyone would become accountable or they'd get the hell out.

Why do you think Del Negro and CP pushed for him at last year's deadline?

They know he'd make a difference.
 
KG is probably my favorite player. I have family in minnesota, i've liked him ever since he entered the league.

KG can't play a ton of minutes and knows it. It's why he's been on the 5-5-5-10 plan for the last two years under Doc.

And if KG's done I guess that's why the Celtics were a +112 with him on the floor and a -130 with him off the floor this season.

The chance for another ring would be all the motivation he needs...but he's not going anywhere unless Doc goes too.

BTW, he has a home in Malibu, so being close to home is a bonus for him.

the heat are so easy to root against.

I'm not the happiest bball fan at the moment, but there is no way that I could cheer for a Wake Forest (Duncan) player. So, I'm ok with it. As long as Timmy didn't get another title, all is good. He is getting older by the minute and his days as a player are numbered.

That being said, SA played a great series and put a huge scare into the Heat. They have nothing to be ashamed of and can be proud of a great season.

Now...

Let's get some good players for the Wizards in the draft and FA!!!
 
Don't now how anyone could pull against Duncan. He's the last of a dying breed in the NBA: A fundamentally sound big man who plays hard.

Hate the Heat winning..especially Wade. Dirtiest player in the league and was hoping someone would make him eat the floor these playoffs.

Oh well.........
 
Not at all. I'm a UVA alum and Wake is one of the enemies. Such is life.

You can stop with the child reference - it has no effect on me. I can root for or against any player - that is part of being a fan.

I gave props to the team that came up short tonight.
 
I was constantly amazed during the last seven games, what a series. The ball movement as well as movement away from the ball for AS we're both amazing to watch. I haven't seen anything like that since the 80's, what a joy. The Spurs came up short however bc Miami just has more talent, and the Spurs no longer have their go-to, guaranteed-to-score guy anymore. It certainly isn't Manu and they were having trouble getting the ball to Duncan late.

Regardless, an amazing, all time series.
 
Manu lost the series for SA. Very disappointed.

For as much props as I give Popovich I can't figure out why he left him in there so much game 6 and game 7.
 
Yeah, as good as Manu was in game five, he really stunk it up at times in the last two games.

The player who surprised me was Duncan. Toward the end of these last two games, he looked very tired and seemed to be showing his age. That running hook in the closing seconds last night has always been money for him and I knew he was going to make that shot. Stunned when he missed it - that all but clinched it for the Heat.
