The NBA Season Is Saved

Diesel, rumors are abound that the Celtics want JJ Redick. In exchange, the Magic want draft picks and young talent.
I've heard those rumors too and I just don't get it.

The Celtics biggest problem imo, is interior defense/rebounding.

Outside of KG, we have no one that can protect the rim and clean the glass.

Also:

Pierce is about shot unless he can go to the bench and regain a little of his old form by not having to log starter minutes.

Alot of rumors swirling and I have no idea what's going to happen within the next month.

At least Rivers didn't Shanahan him...

Great gut it out win by the old men in Green today!

Old Green Men get the best of Blake the Flake and the Clips.

Matt Barnes needs to be punched right in the mouth. Dirty player.

Celtics go into Indiana, where the Pacers are 25-6, and take down the Pacers-#2 in the East.

The Old Guys in Green still have some kick left to 'em after all. :)

I hate to see Kobe go down like that. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

His career is LA is probably over. He's a FA after next season and ditto for LeBron - LJ will take the LA money, just wait and see. An achilles at 35 is like a retirement waiting to happen for most athletes.

Maybe so, but Kupchak didn't hesitate to move on from Shaq when he was still a force. Ya'll know more about the NBA than me - I just read bits and pieces when something like this happens or follow somewhat closer when the playoffs are underway.

That decision was easy for Kupchak in retrospect.

You had Shaq, who was a dominant force but didn't give a damn about taking care of his body or you could choose an up and coming superstar who's work ethic and love for the game compared to Magic,MJ and Bird.

Easy decision.

I look at Shaq and all that comes to mind is : what could have been .

Dude played at 340-350 and tried to constantly play himself into shape and was still dominant.

Just imagine had he took care of his body and stayed in shape around 290??

Great talent but IMO had so much more if he had any kind of work ethic.

*BUMP* for the start of the playoffs today...

Celtics @ Knicks to open things up @ 3pm est on ABC.

How much do the old green guys have left?

Does the emergence of Jeff Green make any difference in the series?

Do Melo and JR Smith rise to the occasion or do they wilt?

How long can Tyson Chandler hold up with a bulging disc in his neck?

Should be fun...........

Bump for the genius of Hennigan. Passing on Bynum when everyone thought he was crazy.

Next up? The next great center in Noel.

Bring on the draft already.

And good luck in the playoffs Diesel.

Doesnt Bynum have a ring?

Bynum had too much money, free agency, a terrible personality and injuries. And he missed the entire season.

$16.9 million to miss the entire season? No thanks.

We avoided a disaster.

First off, Bynum was never a franchise player, even though he thought he was.

Don't know what the Philly brass was smoking but when you have a guy who's constantly injured/knee trouble and has a questionable work ethic, you should know better than to invest that much into him.

He was a very, very good center when healthy. Maybe the second best in the league.

Now as far as the playoffs go, I'm interested to see a few things:

Part of me wants to see if the unthinkable is possible. What if the Lakers are actually better without Kobe? Certainly their ball movement will be improved. What if they went all the way? Amnesty if that happened?

I know the odds are against it. I don't believe Dwight is strong enough mentally or physically at this moment to make that happen, but he has his chance. I loved him in Orlando. I have mixed feelings now.

If everything goes as most people expect, can the Thunder beat Miami? I don't think they are nasty enough to pull it off.
