I would literally rather take a beating than have a bad 'man cold'. I felt 'under the weather' over the weekend but went to work anyway. Started feeling awful midday yesterday and came home. Home today. All the lovely usual symptoms. Out of control runny nose (now bizarrely shifting to congested), low grade fever, mild chills, pain behind the eyes, headache, even a little dizziness.

I may not survive.

My wife is great and will give me all the 'poor baby' I can handle, will make me homemade chicken soup today (although I'm not sure there's any truth to that supposed home remedy - but hey, homemade soup never hurts).

I open this thread for all eternity so that my fellow males can alert the world to their misery when this dreaded scourge inevitably and tragically lands on your doorstep.

The Man Cold.

God help us all.

As an aside…I went something like 15 years without a cold or the flu. None. Until I was forced to take the covid shot. Since then it’s been a somewhat regular-ish occurrence. Coincidence?

No idea. Working in a hospital it's sort of inevitable. I would have to wear gloves 24/7 to not pick stuff up. This actually feels a little like the flu.

Oh the humanity.

It's part of OMS...Old Man Syndrome

I hope you feel better soon
