Also, a great take from former Heisman winner/Skins QB RG3
Lol I don’t think RG is one to talk. And he’s overly dramatic about it as always. But I do agree with his points.

It’s more like “OK dude you can’t use my IP anymore. And also, it’s ridiculous that you don’t have a huge picture of me on the wall at the office honoring my contributions.”Im speculating, but here's an analogy...
You leave a company on good terms... you're doing well, so you let them continue to use some of the IP you personally owned cuz you care about their success. The leadership there are your friends and they appreciate what you did for them.
Then they hire a new CEO and he has no connection to you and kinda acts ambivalent toward your contributions.
So you say, "OK dude, you can't use my IP anymore"
If he uses his platform to spend any significant period of time to talk about this, I’ll be very surprised. He will get asked about it and downplay, deflect and talk about football. That’s why it’s hard for me to see anyone trying to make this some personal agenda hes driving.
Someone needs to look up the definition of propensity. Jayden’s behavior overall has never shown any sign of a natural inclination, preference, tendency, or frequency of diva-like behavior. Not even a bit.
A person who behaves in a manner that you don’t like, one time, does not prove, in any way, shape, or form, a propensity for the behavior that you disagree with.
No, the word propensity does not strictly or logically require an already established pattern of behavior, though it strongly implies a readiness or underlying predisposition that often leads to one. [1, 2]
Nuances of the Word
- Potential vs. Fact: A propensity describes an internal leaning, capability, or probability. You can have a propensity for something before you have ever actually done it. For example, a person might have a genetic or psychological propensity for addiction without a past pattern of substance abuse. []
- The Cause, Not the Result: In philosophy and probability (such as the propensity probabilityinterpretation), a propensity is viewed as the underlying cause or tendency of a set of conditions to produce an outcome, rather than the observed frequency or pattern itself. [1]
- Inherent Leaning: While it suggests an ingrained or deeply rooted character trait, it remains a statement about an internal disposition rather than a mathematical tally of past actions. [1]
Regardless, people are destroying Jayden (and his relationship with his mom) over this. And business-wise, they should’ve seen that coming and not done this. It’s just not smart and LSU fans (as you can see on this board) are going to rally around the school and program, not him, no matter who is “correct”. It’s just messy for no reason when you’re going to be ungodly wealthy, and makes you look out of touch and full of ego. Which is the opposite of Jayden’s brand. And they should’ve known that.
We can argue the business side of it all day - whether it’s the right thing to do is beyond me. I have zero clue what has transpired between LSU and Daniels camp to land here. The very fact it’ll be a topic of conversation, that he’ll get asked about, is a distraction. Even a minor one. Just could’ve been avoided. Silly

Faithful Fan not calling you out here, but color me unsurprised that you take issue with this
Not sure what it is, but anything Jayden comes up and you are always leaning negative- if not, leaning heavily into what I consider to be reaching for RG3 comps.
I think it’s abundantly clear this is an agent/mom thing, likely being used as some sort of leverage. Not sure how you can view anything Jayden has said or done over the entirety of his time here that would lead you to believe he has diva like tendencies. Of all the things to worry about, this doesn’t even rank. Literally every 2nd contract for a franchise QB is going to be painful and expensive.
Like it or not, a lot of what transpires has to do with business. This is literally an absolute nothing burger, and only palatable for someone looking for something to be worried about.

I think it’s more like you let them use your IP and they pay you for it. New CEO comes in and they get a new IP, but they want to keep advertising that you are a legacy part of the business.
...my broader point being, if the leadership changes... and they start treating you differently it's reasonable that you might change the relationship.
It may look worse for JD5 as more info comes out, but as it stands now, it doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
I don’t think what I’m doing is being defensive of him though. I have no personal attachment to him. I think his mom is and has been doing too much. I just think you are stretching big time when it comes to ego. All these guys have egos - it’s what they do with it that matters. A squabble with his Alma Mater that we don’t know all the details about without a word said about it until yesterday is to me a nothing burger.I certainly have my doubts about Jayden and acknowledge it’s largely RG3 PTSD plus a belief we should have taken the other guy. The big worries are about his durability and ego, and there is a growing body of evidence those are not entirely unfounded.
Otherwise I like him. He gave us the best season we’ve had in three decades, he is an insanely talented super athlete as a runner and passer, and by all accounts is a hard worker and fast learner. We all know are very lucky to have him, after decades of looking for a franchise quarterback, the rarest and most valuable asset of in professional football, there is plenty of reason to believe we finally have one.
So I can understand being defensive of him, but I don’t think my skepticism is unwarranted either.
I don’t like it, but I really do agree this isn’t that big a deal in the scheme of things. As I said, this isn’t anywhere near the drama and off the field problems a lot of NFL players bring. I’m probably dwelling on it more than warranted because people are pushing back on my takes.
Jayden (or Mom?) need to remember that you can be generationally wealthy and well regarded, or Dan Snyder. Don't slide into that abyss. The NIL money is peanuts compared to losing future endorsements because of public perception.
Well now apparently they're holding the (copy) Heisman Trophy hostage
If the below is true... then asking them to return it is baseless
Okay so they’re just being needlessly petty in regards to the trophy, but not even in a legally defensible way. They need to change course or this is going to blow up and make him look really bad
