To be fair I’d be pretty butt hurt if my franchise drafted a WR in the 1st round, I watched him actually briefly develop into a stud, then lose a superbowl then get paid after a protracted contract battle, then get hurt then spiral into dramatic irrelevance while losing all value

The only thing I get out of that video is the recorder is so incredibly trashy. Screaming obscenities and then panning the camera over children who might be 10 years old at oldest and trying their best to not be noticed by the weird loud man. Get yourself a capri-sun, sit in the shade, and kindly shut up.

My only question is, how can you be BOTH a 49ers fan AND an Eagles fan?

According to this article, Jayden Daniels is out in California with about a dozen or so of his teammates (WRs, RBs, TEs) including Terry McLaurin working out together even before training camp starts.

I like the commitment.

Picture from the workout?

Jayden got honroable mention from ther scouts-coaches as to QB ranking. Maye and Caleb ahead of him. Dak too at #6.

Fair considering the injuries last year. Also IMO an X factor is how much better supporting casts Caleb and Drake (Drake with the much easier schedule and marginally better supporting cast last year but way better suppporting cast now) have especially now -- so i don't think the apples to apples comps will be on point until I gather 2027 when Peters finally addresses that disparity for the first time.

Honorable mentions

Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders: "I know he was hurt [in 2025], but I think this is the year he really makes his stamp and he's the guy we're all talking about as having taken the next step. Such a good decision-maker and very accurate." -- NFC exec

"I would still take him over the other quarterbacks [from the 2024 draft class] from a pure quarterback, decision-making standpoint." -- NFL personnel evaluator

I thought that ranking as not entirely unfair to Daniels. He has legitimate durability issues. I think if he gets through the season intact he'll be back in the top ten easily.

Who. Has more durability issues than Burrow?? Guys always out.

You’re not wrong, but his talent/production doesn’t have an incomplete grade to go along with it. You know if he’s playing, he’s elite. Daniels had arguably the best rookie season of all time, and then a pedestrian second season even when he was “healthy”, on a team with subpar weapons. So the grade is incomplete even beyond the injuries, from a national perspective. The body of work isn’t very large yet.

(Now is Burrow overrated? Maybe, he’s had insanely elite weapons for most of his tenure there so his job is definitely easier than some guys. Then again I don’t think Taylor’s scheme or playcalling does him any favors, so it’s hard to say)

Burrow has missed 22 games due to injury in his six year career, so yes, he is injury prone. On the other hand, he has also played 16 or more games in 3 of his 6 seasons, and he has never come close to missing the amount of time Jayden did last year.

Burrow has had good receivers, but the usual narrative is that he is a good player on a bad team, putting up elite numbers but still losing because his supporting cast is so bad, which is somewhat contrary to your point.

Burrow’s defense and OL has definitely been a problem his whole career, which has prevented the playoff success from happening most years. But his individual vanity numbers are usually elite anyways, due to his quick release, leading to prolific production with his elite weapons. I personally don’t think he’s overrated, he’s an incredible anticipation thrower and calm under pressure. I was more so getting out ahead of the idea that some people think he’s overrated and just mentioning it from the jump to acknowledge that I’m aware of the arguments. It can be hard to have QB conversations with people.

Ironically I think he and Daniels actually share a lot of the same strengths, with Jayden having the legs obviously. But as passers they win similarly. The fact that Burrow does it with zero threat from his legs opening things up against defenses is very impressive, teams have to play them very differently. I’m a big Burrow fan.
