He’s not 100% or the fall today would not have knocked him out of the game.

If you leave him out there you risk your franchise player going out with an ACL or other injury that could compromise 2026, all for the last 4 games during a 3-10 season?

Players and coaches only care about today, it is the job of the GM and owner to look to the long term health of the franchise.

Sometimes it’s better to live and fight another day.

Either Daniels is the unluckiest player alive, or he wasn't healthy enough to play since just landing on his left arm after a shove was enough to have him writhing on the ground and getting pulled from the game. Thus, he is playing hurt, during a lost season when we have no hope of the playoffs. So is Quinn stupid, our training staff incompetent, or is Daniels unlucky?

The man needs reps, but he can barely get through a quarter of live football this year.

I’m OK with shutting him down now. The reps and experience do matter though. He needs them. We can’t ignore the fact that he’s playing like shit aside from the injuries.

I think you have to continue to play him if he’s healthy enough to play. Everything has clearly taken a toll on him mentally. To the point I’m not sure these reps are valuable.

Agree, he does need to play, if he is healthy. If he’s not, then sit him. As far as the reps, that is where the coaches need to call better plays so the reps will be meaningful. The first drive, the game plan looked good. After that, the Vikings adjusted by applying a ton of pressure. The coaches seemed to never adjust to that. There was almost always a free rusher. If they want to protect him and give him reps, they should focus more on protection and blitz pickup so that he’s not throwing the ball into the dirt to avoid sacks all day.

The coach said he could have gone back in the game. They shut him down after that play.

All Daniels is doing out there now is risking his future.

Then the captain goes down with the ship… and my point is this will also build character and show him how to handle adversity

Quinn has lost all credibility on the defensive side of the ball over 2 years of poor coaching hires and personnel moves.

He may want to win next week more than living itself but again if I own the ‘Show’ I don’t let today cloud my vision for the future.

If any player on this team blasts me for making that decision my response would be that perhaps he and his mates needed to do more than 0-31 to show me they still were fighting.

Much too casual of an atmosphere here with week after week of losing.

This roster is going to turn over 30% in the offseason.

In that role I need to look beyond 2025.

My belief is that we are still playing the long game with Jayden even if he plays. The season is lost, but playing out the season can only help with his development as a premier NFL franchise quarterback.

Put simply, he’s not at the level yet where he can afford to just be taken out even if healthy to “protect him”. He needs to be out there taking his medicine with his teammates.

True leaders shine in moments like this.

Kliff sucks. Don’t risk Jayden anymore this season. Fire Kliff. I would have fired Quinn and Kliff weeks ago. As many of you know.

Thing is his elbow was clearly not ready for NFL level of contact. Him being out there when not healed enough to be is an issue.

Ok, so who is approving the signing of these players onto the roster and then coaching the younger picks and free agents?

This is 2 years of incompetence on that side of the ball. The defense was atrocious last year.

In the end in 2024 all we were asking was for the defense to 'hold' the opponent to under 30 points so Daniels could make a game out of it and win.

This is a VERY low bar.

And based on what we saw today, this team KNOWS it's out of the playoff picture and guys are starting to play so they don't get hurt.

IMO that last gasp of competitiveness was put out there against the 9-2 Broncos and when the 2 point conversion failed any remaining air went out of the tire.

First, saying we were atrocious last year is a bit of an exaggeration. If we had an atrocious D last year we never would have made it to the NFC championship.
Second, we lost our edge rushers. Please refer to the injury list and see how many starters are actually there.
I know overreacting happens especially after a loss, but can we please see the forest through the trees.

Something was off this year from jump, and the insane number of injuries this season never allowed the ship to be righted. The overall direction of the franchise is headed up. Years like this happen.
