Good spot for him.

He was really the only veteran free agent Rivera brought in here that lived up to his contract.

Curtis' talents were wasted here IMO.

Much like Gibson, never got used correctly or enough. He should have been more of a threat than he actually was.

Clearly, Adam Peters has a bad history with someone named Sam. I don't know if it was a childhood bully or a friend who stole his girl, but no one named Samuel (first or last name) is safe from his wrath.

I definitely would have paid Samuel 10 million a year to stay in town. That seems like a steal for a team like Buffalo. They had Gabe Davis who had a couple of big games each year and that was it. Davis had no catches in 5 games and 1 in 2 more. He got 13 million a year. Samuel was better and more consistent, he just isn’t the big play threat. He only got 10. Davis must have a better agent.

Bears just traded a 4th for Keenan Allen. Somebody on Twitter will find a way to tie this move to Washington's draft plans.... 😆

Keenan Allen used to date Drake Maye’s older sister so it appears he is headed to the Windy City 😜

Oof. Curl on the relative cheap.

Think his agent misplayed this one pretty badly. Good landing spot though.

People were tagging him for $15 mil a year…. Crazy.

Too many talented Safeties on the market. Poor time to hit free agency.

I think we are missing the message with Curl, Fuller, Howell, and others…

This roster wasn’t good.

We see that reflected in both the teams disinterest in re-signing guys we may have viewed as key players as well as in the contracts said players are being offered on the open market.

When you have a bad roster, it’s only natural to over-value the few players you have that are decent talents. I think we’ve all likely been guilty of that to a certain extent. The current admin came in with fresh eyes and the result is a massive roster turnover. That tells you all you need to know.

When the team gathers for OTAs the returning guys from last season are going to look around and feel like they were traded to a new team. 🤣

That probably can cut both ways. Is a player who seems to be good really good under better circumstances?

For example, is Terry merely a good wide receiver or if he had a better QB who was provided time to throw the ball would he elevate even higher? Another good example is Cosmi. As a fan watching the game you couldn't convince me we had any good offensive linemen and yet people say his guard play was very good. How much better would it be if he had better center and tackle play beside him?

I’m talking about players we chose not to retain though. We may well find out that Peters and Company don’t think as highly of some guys currently under contract as well (beyond releasing Logan Thomas and Leno) as I bet we see some current players moved before training camp.

The other factor is the idea that I heard floated not that long ago.

Players that ultimately hit free agency, actually tend to have a bit of pride within them, meaning they may take a marginally less amount of money with a new team, to not admit they were wrong.

Do we think Peters and co didn't value Curl at the contract he got? I wonder (and we will never know the true answer to this) if we offered him a deal similar, or even more than what he ultimately got? In the event we did, did Curl reach back once the deal with the Rams was actually on the table? For all we know, we offered a similar deal to Curl before Free Agency started and he laughed in our face, because if had been reported that we ofered him that same deal a month ago, fans and media would have laughed at it. Did that also happen with Fuller? Or did we even offer these guys? It's really hard to know, exponentially so with the newe regime. I know in the past that i've fallen victim to saying "HOW DO WE LET HIM GET AWAY" when in reality, even with the silly nonsense that gets reported, we dont know.

We know they didnt like Thomas at his current number, but that doesn't mean they didnt like him.
