The Bombshell

I hate him - not afraid to use the word. The man is a self-absorbed, abusive SOB.

Agreed Boone.

Dad always told me we don't "hate" anyone, we "dislike intensely". Pretty sure Dad would understand this exception to that rule though.

We all aspire to that. I guess I'll have to live with the fact that when it comes to Snyder, I'm going to fall short.

Interesting idea trying to stall out the Dems. GOP members were very critical about having this even presented to the committee...

This is why I’m against congress getting involved with matters, it ALWAYS becomes political and finger pointing to each party. Not to forget they're comprised of some of the worst criminals in existence. The ONLY saving grace in this instance is the possibility of removing the devil from this once proud organization.

I would sure hope the inquiry doesn't go away if the House changes to the GOP. I'd be interested in knowing their current objections. I will say though...there's a lot of public pressure that can build until next January. If that happens, it likely won't matter who controls the House.

They could be stalling for the stadium deal too... if the NFL is smart they push to get him out so the new owner ultimately oversees that process

This is unbelievable. I am going to protect myself

I have a weird conspiracy theory floating in my head that Youngkin may be buddy-buddy with Snyder. This isn't meant to be a political comment; I would say the same for any uber rich politician (Forbes has Youngkin net worth estimated at approx half a billion), that they may be buddy-buddy with Snyder. Not saying that all of the uber rich are friends, but they certainly have more in common together than with others.

The NFL loves a nice, new stadium that is paid for with public money. That would be a VERY enticing carrot if it could be finagled into this as a way to keep Snyder. I just feel Snyder will pull out all of the stops to get through, and as bad as an owner as he's been, he has proven to be good at shirking responsibility for calamities (I almost called it "PR calamities" but I felt it was too diminishing for what he has done).

He is buddy buddy with Younkin.. in fact the article that Chris share after yours regarding his new home.... the reason they were able to tell it was Snyder was because of this:

Snyder had long been rumored as the buyer of River View near George Washington’s Mount Vernon, but only recently was it confirmed, thanks to public records. The team owner had contributed $25,000 to Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s inaugural committee on Jan. 7, and in the report the committee filed with the State Board of Elections, he listed River View's address at 7979 E. Boulevard Drive as his home address — and Washington Football Team owner under "business or employment information."

It would not shock me if they are real close, and it would not shock me if this was a pay off to get him to talk up a new stadium, just to get D.C. back involved. Anything is possible....

That place is a real short drive to Oxon Hill Farm.

Just saying...

Then Snyder's old place? Yep.

Not closer to RFK than it is to Oxon Hill Farm. Snyder could bike to Oxon Hill Farm from this place. If he could ride a bike.

THIS IS A BIG DEAL

sponsors now cutting ties

Sadly, this will be the only motivator. Doing the right thing doesn’t matter. It’s about the money.

Also, who is that company?

Is that a corporate sponsor or a company that the team uses that decided not to promote their relationship? A big difference.

According this they're a corporate sponsor
