The Bombshell

So the league is blindsided by Snyder's announcement and then says they'll do the investigation and not the Commanders. Snyder's announcement was just beyond stupid. Did he actually think that would give him cover? And does anyone believe the Commanders and the NFL weren't talking about the best way to respond to what happened in the Congressional Committee? If they were blindsided, it was probably only about the timing of Snyder's announcement or they thought they hadn't decided between the two of them the best course of action. I don't have any faith in the NFL doing an investigation either given the arrangement they did on the previous investigation. I suspect many in the public don't either.

I don't have any real faith that the NFL will conduct a legitimate investigation

The only small piece of hope i have is that now it's on a national stage. People are going to be watching, so the NFL may be forced to have a certain level of expecation.

I’d bet a $1 of Boone’s that Goodell already knows exactly what they’ll find, but is hesitant because it will implicate his own negligence in handling & (not) reporting the crimes.

Gloves coming off? Are they saying.....Super Bowl week and you pull this stunt, Dan?

So Snyder is still being Snyder. The NFL is either feigning outrage or they are trying to get Congress to take action to force their hand. Either way, they are still failing to take action.

Listened to the Megan Imbert interview today with the Junkies. Dan Snyder is such a POS.

Larry Michael is too. I always hated his voice. And his ridiculous homerisms. Shocking that that doesn’t even scratch the surface on how bad a person he actually is. To have allowed him to be the voice of the Redskins says it all.

Reading some articles today, I'm not totally convinced the NFL has made a 180 in the way they want to handle it. Apparently the committee disagrees with some of their assertions. And the NFL says they entered into the agreement previously with the Commanders to help move the investigation along. Lot of finger pointing. I think I'd need a real lawyer to tell me who is blowing smoke.

The victims should do a fundraiser and buy a Super Bowl commercial to attack Dan, bringing his bullshit to light.

The keyword in everything I've read is "non-privileged", which in this case should be interrupted to mean "all the stuff that makes my client look innocent and nothing that proves him guilty".

They are terrified of what Snyder might do - which is what got us to where we are in the first place, as is partially why the NFL is protecting him. The best thing that could happen is for other women who Snyder personally harassed (if they exist) to come forward, or some other direct evidence of his involvement (such as someone confirming Snyder himself ordered the naked cheerleader videos to be made) to come to light.

Goodell is standing tall (hiding behind) on the need to protect the names and identities of the complainants that desire anonymity.

If only there was a way to redact such identifying material. 🤔

It is hard to believe that he continues to throw that out there as the rationale when the victims/accusers have almost universally denied they requested anonymity. And uh, then there’s that whole black magic marker option

I know the women don’t want it released, but if there were a copy of the video made for Snyder, that might go a long way towards getting him gone.

Funny thing is, I could see the NFL finally acting to get rid of Snyder to distract from the league tanking rumors. This is their classic modus operandi.

Please NFL. Get rid of this horrible pos.

Man you know it's bad that we're ROOTING for collateral damage.

It takes 2/3 of the owners to force a sale, so 24.

Keim reported that the feeling is thatDanny Boy would go scorched earth against the other owners, name names etc, and tie the league up in litigation for years if it happened.

What would the ownership group be most afraid of?
