The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Saw a report from local reporter Darren Wolfson that Jauan Jennings finished 2-day visit with Vikings, left Minnesota with no deal.

Vikes apparently offering 1-year deal.
Interesting. He’s still clearly got an unrealistic view of his value and also wants a longer term commitment.

I get the latter point - he will be 30 before the 2027 season starts and unless they are elite receivers value starts to diminish if their age starts with a 3.

Surprised they didn’t have agreement on basic things like ACV and length of deal/guarantees before he agreed to do the visit.

I will now toot my own horn for getting the current roster status and future possibilities right.

Toot.

As multiple people here have said, Aiyuk just needs to do one thing to move things along.

Show up.
And even then the Niners can toy with him and hold him until the last second.

Just reading that exchange from fans below. To each their own and I recall Tayman from the ES days, good dude.

IMO this misses the point. It's not about one transaction, one move. It's FA, the draft. Not just this year but last year, the year before.

All of the decisions combined so far at WR sucked IMO. And lol them drafting or not drafting Sonny Styles doesn't summarize the whole effort and defend the whole effort.

But they still have time time to fix it. When I read that the Vikings are pursuing Jauan Jennings because they aren't satisfied with just Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison it brings it home for me. Washington doesn't have a #1 like Jefferson or a number 2 like Addison. And they IMO should feel more desperate than Minny.

Will see how it plays out. But them drafting Styles or signing Oweh or whatever is cool. but it doesn't in my book take them off the hook at building a Wr room.

I notice on twitter some fans pushing that they should sign Okudah. I looked at his PFF scores wow, his coverage scores are dead last in the NFL two seasons in a row, brutal.

I don't know why people keep saying this. I already knew this and others seem to be worried but im not. Ayuik does not want to be there. He is going to show up. If he knew that they weren't going to release him, he would have fought them for going after his guarantees.

He probably would have won that case but he told the NFLPA not to challenge it because if he won then he would have to stay with them. He didn't realize that they were going to drag it out. I have no doubt that he is going to show up

I dont know who thought aiyuk didn't have to show up to force the 9ers hand, I suggested he should show up in a thong.

I thought that was pretty obvious.

And if he doesn't show up thats a good thing, it means he doesn't really wanna play and we dodged a bullet.

Seen on a few YouTube sites that we may be in on trading for Pickens. Said it would cost us a first next year would we do that?

I wouldn't be. I would think that next years draft will yield quite a few Pickens class receivers at a much discounted salary

No way I’d do that.
