Ford can catch the ball and run so that helps. Fine as a rotational back. I have to watch him, like I said last time I did was before the draft so I need to catch up.

If I can go back I would rather extrapolate what he has done the past two years than what he did as a rookie 4 years ago.

That's one of the puzzle marks with Van Jefferson. He's 29 and has bounced around but there is that 2021 season where he won a Super Bowl with the Rams and caught 50 balls for 800 yards and 6 touchdowns for McVay.

Hard to judge what is capable of now though.

He has been in the NFL 4 years. But yes we can take his best season and say that's the real Ford. Maybe. It could be.

But i do know the Browns really really really wanted RBs last off season, and I doubt it was because they were enamored with him. They took not one but two RBs and they overtook Ford. The injury happened in mid Decemeber.

But I am intrigued. Not to the degree where I think problem solved. But it could be. I'll dive in and watch Ford soon.

FYI, he had a shoulder injury last year so kind of fell off in '25.

injury happened in mid December. He fell off because they drafted two RBs who supplanted him. But intriguing talent.

I really don't think that we are looking at Love, nor do I think that we should. There is just more value at receiver, corner, and edge where we may be in the market for again next year but with a lower pick.Then there is equal value at safety and LB.

I really think that AP wants a young receiver to grow with Jayden and we may not pick this high again for a long time. We already interviewed Lemon who is the perfect slot for Bloughs, Ben Johnson type system and we may can trade down to get him or Tyson.

I don't know how anyone could predict what the team is thinking about the draft or what their board looks like?

I think they have a board that they are supremely confident in. They will likely make their pick based on those rankings. I think one of the goals of their free agency was to fill enough needs that they don't feel compelled to make that #7 selection with need in mind.

So I think RB is absolutely on the table there if Love is available and they have him as the BPA at that point. I don't know how anyone could think differently?

The last TWO seasons.

Besides, he's coming here to fill a different role - he's a complement to the RB group not a bell cow.

Evidently the Browns are in beast mode looking for a 1,200 yard back to feature.

Of course, the caveat here is it's the Browns.

Their moves at quarterback and otherwise outside of Myles Garrett are questionable at best across the board in recent memory.

In the same category as players coming from TENN, it's a just a team you don't trust to do proper evals.

I still think that Love will be there at 7. Jets have Hall, Cardinals are taking Bailey, Browns have Judkins, Titans have Pollard who ran well for them and have holes all over the line and no receivers for your Franchise QB, Harbaugh wants his Ed Reed, Kyle Hamilton in Downs, plus they have sold backs in Tracy and Skattebo.

#7 is a very high pick and if we don't want to be back here in the top 10 again in 2027 then that pick has to go for in impact player that comes in and gets to an all-pro or pro bowl level early in his rookie contract.

What I am hoping as happens every once in awhile is ONE team ahead of us goes and makes a head scratching move and we end up with a player we never expected to be able to get.

I’m still unsure our IOL group is strong enough. Agree with the premise of your post though.

I don’t think they’re completely done yet. But they should be at least competent at IOL. Maybe not elite. However, between Coleman and Paul they should have a good LG.

I’m now really interested to see if they try and slide Coleman to center, where he would seem to be an athletic fit, and Paul at LG. That actually would be very intriguing….

Definitely ok with picking Love and would be fired up but I also see other arguments. All in all, Love is probably the safest bet in the draft but there is debate on how valuable his overall impact can be. All in all, I think that I will be decently OK with who ever we pick. This draft is full with a bunch of similarly rated guys who hardly any jump off the board as can't miss, maybe besides Love. I'm just going to let it play out

Quinn said they started working him out at guard and center last year after he lost the starting job to Paul. So he’s been doing it for a bit.

Remember, the team didn’t really have a true backup center on the roster last year. Allegretti was the defacto backup center. But he was also the backup guard.

So what it sounds like what they did last year is just get Coleman reps at all the interior positions.

He posted it yesterday afternoon and no one else reported it?? Why would everyone else keep it as a closely guarded secret?

Indicates that Jennings didn't get the security he was looking for and gets a one year deal.

At his age he may become like Diggs and consistently get one year deals from here on out.

I think at RB we have a fairly well defined 2/3/4.

And that’s a good thing. But we need to add that #1.

Problem is we are still looking for WR2 as well.
