Nah, White is good. And it’s better than 29 minutes ago. But I’m not enamored with him, either. And it’s a one year deal. But it’s an improvement so, I can’t be overly picky.

We need receivers.

Well, we needed running back who can catch passes and block in pass pro. Up until a few minutes ago we only had ONE running back on the active roster in Merritt.

White is a better player than McNichols and is 3 years younger.

I think they’re pretty similar. But he’s younger and has more wiggle. I thought McNichols was our best all around back last year just too old. CRod was our best vision/power. Bill was the only home run threat.

White is well rounded and can help in a lot of ways. His age and overall athleticism is a boost to the backfield.

Baseline move but it’s not a bad move and it puts us over the litmus line so… I’m for it.

Will see, but IMO he's a better back than Croskey-Merritt.

I think they are complementary backs, each one has a skillset and these guys can work together IMO.

White is a good back. Not a great one. But IMO an improvement of what they had. Good pass catcher, pass blocker, decent runner. I want another RB, don't get me wrong, too. But at least lol, its not just Croskey-Merritt. And I think he's better than the 30 plus year old version of Ekeler.

I know your position on him. It doesn’t change the fact that he has been our 2nd most productive WR since Harris bought the team.

The point is - none of those 3 guys have done ANYTHING to warrant a belief they can be highly productive contributors to this offense. Doesn’t mean it’s impossible or they should all be released. But they can’t be the plan at WR.

I was a bit surprised they let Rodriguez go. So I was getting nervous. So I feel better with this.

But assuming they can't get Love, I am going to dive into this RB class.

Now that Aiyuk may be held up until the draft we might make a move now that we wouldn't have made 3 or 4 days ago.

Think we can surmise that AP had White, Chig, and Aiyuk in mind as high confidence signings. So he focused on fixing the defense, and took some higher swings like Pierce, Doubs, Linderbaum, and Likely knowing he can draw a line and fall back on these options without totally tanking the offense. Maybe even Deebo as an option if he still doesn’t like the room once the draft is over.

I’m still dying for high end talent for the offense but you can’t force it either. Would still like Jennings here.

It’s improvement - so I’m with you. We’re going in the right direction talent wise which is a far cry from last year and something extremely positive.

Agreed. All I am saying is Burks has greater potential at the position. Don't have the same view of McCaffrey however.

Zaccheus has been on 4 teams now, if he was that valuable per se you think he would have stuck with at least a 2 year deal somewhere.

I am looking at what multiple GMs are doing with the player.
