The 2026 Free Agency Thread

We went out and got 3 things - younger, faster, and more durable. Love it.

But man our WR cupboard is pretty bare :behindsofa:
Yeah, Peter’s is probably going to have to be aggressive on the waiver wire and second round of free agency after the draft.

That's all true... but I have to assume they did something that really pissed off Aiyuk. Remember the Trent Williams in DC tantrum? The team really didn't do anything to him, but he threw a tantrum an got himself traded.
Yeah, Williams totally overreacted. All the team did was misdiagnose, for 6 years, a malignant tumor that came close to metastasizing to his skull and brain. No big deal, this sort of thing happens all the time. Total nothingburger.

What the hell is the DC going to be teaching then?

We don't have a lead secondary coach or defensive PGC. We could use one of the highest football IQ defenders in the league the last 15 years helping to teach our young secondary the scheme while on the field.

As much grief as Bulldog and others have given Von Miller for being here, Jacob Martin and Dorance both had career seasons last year. Well, we fired our assistant DL coach and demoted our DL coach...perhaps, it was the guy who ran a pass rush academy in the offseason for years who played a role in helping them get better.

Another reason for me to love Cross

Is this the first superfan we've had as a player in the social media era? Guys like Logan Thomas, Kendall Fuller, Chase Young and Jon Allen were local but I don't recall them being fans to this extent growing up

This is not the thread for a discussion that probably doesn't need rehashing in the first place.

They might like what they have in McCaffrey and Lane. Figure Aiyuk is going to end up here. I think we really only need one more vet and another draft pick there.
I was thinking that, too.

It'd be quite a gamble, but if both somehow made the jump that would be the best of all worlds.

Honestly, I don't remember ever seeing anything like this for your local team. It's really refreshing. I know that it's a dream come true and I have a feeling that him and Chigy talked about doing this together and made sure their agents got it done

Yeah can’t remember a single Wizard. I don’t think most of these pro athletes are diehard pro sports fans growing up

Ain't no way. That would be even worse than going into last season. Everyone either unproven or coming off of injuries. If Ayuik goes down, would you be shocked if the receiving core sucked again? Nah, we need to get Ayuik and somebody, even if it's in the draft

I certainly didn't mean to ruffle any feathers and don't want to contribute to thread creep. I did want to respond, however, for the benefit of those who might not have been aware of Trent's issue with the team/medical staff. Also, this is kind of a PSA. If you notice any new lumps or bumps or any color/size changes in existing moles/freckles, please get yourself checked out. Weird things happen, even to young healthy folks. Yes, I am a physician so these sorts of things are meaningful to me. Climbing down off the soapbox now.

Think so aside from a Phillip Thomas back in 2013 he was a big fan. But otherwise cant think of one. Chase was an Eagles fan.

I appreciate that. I would also recommend seeing a specialist (like an oncologist) if you suspect something is going on. Now back to free agency...
