The 2026 Free Agency Thread

The competition part makes me feel better.

I suppose the Chiefs never used him at center because they had a pro bowler there for a number of years.

Yup and he said all he wants is a chance to compete at center. That's why I said he's a good guy.

So we didn't tender CRod... we only have 1 RB under contract 😯

49ers have Aiyuk locked up in a room somewhere, still mad at him, lol.

Just getting caught up to speed with today’s signings. Have the pitchforks been put in the shed and have our collective cortisol levels come back down?

Don't take this as a complaint but why only two years, for a 24 year old??!!

Safety market historically is pretty weak, he could play great for us and still be affordable in two years at 26-27 years old (or extend after one year if he balls out). So why take the risk I guess

I agree. It feels like this is them giving him the middle finger. The longer they wait, the less money and options will be available.

I’m feeling pretty high on our front agency period. I’m honestly happy we didn’t spend $31m per on Alex Pierce, or sign Phillips, who is hurt a lot.

The one surprise that could put me over the top would be if they found a way to land a marquis or potentially marquis WR.for instance, I know Brian Thomas Jr isn’t being traded, but that kind of move.

Confused Curb Your Enthusiasm GIF

Will we as fans ever truly be happy?

The 9ers may just hold on to him for a while just to stick it to Aiyuk. LOL
No, they know Washington is looking to pick him up and they are trying to **** with us to get us to give them a #6 or # pick to make this look a bit better for them.

I say ***** them, let's go out and get a guy who isn't compromised in this way as we have done at other positions and move on.

Lynch can play his ***** games with someone else.

I think a trade would prevent them using the June 1st designation.

I think anyway.

Rodriguez is a hard woker and overachiever but he's not a guy that gives you a lot of upside in the running game in terms of big play potential.

You can find guys like him late in the draft or as UDFAs.

I think ahead of Merritt the team wants a legit 1,000 yard type back that can be utilized in the passing game and force DCs to gameplan for him when facing Washington.

That's not CR's profile.

Nobody is trading for ayuik because of his contract.

He'll be released its just a matter of when.
