Wait...Raven fans are clowning on US right now?? Thats rich
I believe it.

I am sure he had the problems they are stating, with them. Their locker room had issues, I think. It matters.

He could have issues here, and that's OK. It will mean that DQ et al probably have a very small shelf life.

Right now, if I have to evaluate the situation, I'd say AP did his job. He got players with talent who have proven they can play. The puzzle pieces are on the board, I can see how they are supposed to fit (and I'm sure these guys can see it 100x better!). Now they have to make the pieces fit, and that includes managing that locker room.

This offseason, it finally feels like AP is building a team instead of gluing popsicle sticks together (especially on defense, which is supposed to be a part of the team!). I did a good job convincing myself Jonathan Jones was going to be this big upgrade, but inside I knew he wasn't good enough given our pass rush. I am disappointed the Eagles got Woolen, and I think our DBs may be an issue for us still, but with a much improved pass rush and a better DC, things can definitely look much better (and a better DC can straight up improve our DBs by default, assuming DB coaches also get their acts together). Before we even think about our DBs though, teams were attacking LB way MORE than that. We just had gaping holes in coverage all over the place, frankly.

A lot to watch, and be cautiously optimistic about.

This is such peak fan-brain I love it. We’re back!
Actually, this is Take-Command brain. They were doing a major comparison between Oweh and Bailey yesterday and the way they were talking about Chanel as a freak athlete and his 99 RAS score made me think Styles.

But I'll take fan-brain, too.

I can already day dream about our two new ends, new linebacker, Luvu, and Newton/Kinlaw causing QB havoc mwhahahaha!

It's only on paper, but it looks so good in my imagination.

The defense should be much improved. The secondary is scary. But an improved front should help.

The offense needs juice. ASAP. Especially as it has a lot more questions coaching staff wise.

I think we have to be elated with the additions to the defense, while at the same time expecting that at minimum - Chig and Jennings get signed today. We simply cannot run it back with the same O minus Tyler and Deebo.

The secondary may be less scary if there is a pass rush.

I still believe both Amos and Sainristil have potential to be at least good. If the Detroit corner is a good nickel (PFF stuff is scary) then our DBs are at least okay. Safety is a bit of a question mark. I suspect Quan is okay if he has a gray beard to remind him where to be and what his responsibilities are. Otherwise, he's an out of position knucklehead. Harris seemed okay, but he was old and injured last year so...

What's really good to see though is these acquisitions I can see the outlines of a trend as to what Jones is looking for on defense and it looks like we are going to have a versatile unit with guys that can switch out and play X or Y position based on down and distance and keep offenses off balance.

Going together with that is the serious upgrade in athleticism. Chenal and Chaisson are super athletic and Oweh is very quick off the ball.

We just didn't have players with this kind of capability really at all in the 2020's.

On defense it's been a desert this decade to this point.

Any positives have been on the other side of the ball.

Getting the defensive players may cause some to stress out about WR and RB, but the truth is that a good defense is what really got Drake Maye to the Super Bowl not his passing arm.

Without having to score 30 points to win games is going to allow Daniels to grow further and avoid having to put himself at risk so often to try and right the balance with his 'Superman' plays in the open field where he took some pretty bad whacks last season.

Hope we now bring in a solid veteran receiver and go after Tate in the draft to be Terry's replacement in 2027.

I don’t even know what this says… 😆

Pretty sure he's referencing the fact that the Jets traded for Gino Smith... who they had, and let walk, and have now given up draft assets to re-acquire

I know the quotes from Jones get brought up about how he liked Quan Martin and thought he could be good. Makes me a bit worried.

It could end up being Chig and Tate, or Chig and Tyson if they trade back a few spots.
