Is Oweh Bailey and Chanel Sonny Styles? It almost feels like we just drafted both except with less draft projection and bust risk.

Different type of athlete.

Sonny Styles is a smooth mover. Fluid hips, light feet, can turn with speed. Chenal is more straight line and coiled explosion, hips aren't as fluid as Styles and feet are not as light. Chenal has a noticeable functional power advantage over Styles though.

Oweh is a little bit bigger and longer than Bailey. Bailey's got better burst, neither have great bend, but Bailey sets up his mediocre bend well with footwork. Oweh looks better at using his length. You see long arms used well. Both accelerate well into the pocket to get after the QB once they see an opening. But Bailey is a bit smoother doing it.

Listening to 980. They said that the Ravens fans are clowning us about Oweh. That he doesn't play hard all the time, doesn't hustle, doesn't have a motor, etc so there is a risk on that big contract but not the other guys we picked. Hopefully we get the Chargers version

Strange, the Jaguars are now rethinking getting draft capital for Brian Thomas Jr. after all.

This is one organization that doesn't know what it wants

Perhaps at 31, Trey Hendrickson repeats 2025 and continues to suffer injury issues as the wear and tear of 9 years in the league takes its toll.

Anything is possible.

He had 10 sacks the season before with the Ravens, so for not hustiling somehow he got it done, but did have a slow start to his career.

Yeah Styles is more bendy than Chenal. Styles smoother backpeddling in coverage. Chenal is a tank as to upper body strength and can run. If this was a marvel movie, he'd be the Hulk. Styles a cross between Spiderman-Captain America.

I am really surprised that we were able to get Chaisson at this point. I would have thought he would be a target for Roseman.

He loves these mid-tier guys that he signs for relatively modest dollars and then they get to Philly and blow up for them.

Ayoooo Chaisson! Let’s go baby! Great signing.

Oh and the Ravens are scum

Man I’m stoked to see the different blitz packages Daronte dials up with his new toys. Our defense is going to bring some legit heat for the first time in forever. Let’s get some secondary help and Chig and a WR or two so I don’t have to worry about us using the 7th on Tate.

I get that. The only issue I have is if we think he is good enough to pay $12 million a year to, seems like we would want to have him beyond a single season? The downside of ‘prove it’ is he might, but we are not guaranteed to be the beneficiaries of his success.

We usually think of 1-year deals as being conservative on the team side, but lots of times the 1-year requirement comes from the player/agent. Oweh just earned a $100M mega contract after putting two solid seasons together (and especially a stretch of like 8 games this year). He had to show it more than once but then when his traits were clearly translating, he cashed in.

A guy like Chaisson may be thinking the same. One more pressure-heavy year and he’s dreaming of a mega contract that no one will give him now. In the meantime, we benefit from the effort and get first dibs if we want it

Being put into a rotation and having Chenal right behind you barking in your ear could change that

Also sort of a sneaky reason why they might not go edge early in the draft, its often a slow developing spot. Ditto LB. Both edges they signed have gotten better over time.

In a must win season, I suspect they prefer to draft someone at 7 who can hit the ground running.

I see what you did there :)
