That cancelled trade is pretty wild to be fair. Luckily for LV they are still awash with cap space, although they have already backfilled in FA. Not ideal.

Feels like that situation and Hendrickson yet to decide has briefly stalled the market totally as teams look and wait on those outcomes.

I know there is quite a bit of push back re Hendrickson, but I’ll be very surprised if we haven’t got an offer in on him. AP has been chasing them all it would appear.

I think that a lot of teams are waiting until 4pm today to see if anyone good is being released before they sign anymore guys. Some better and unexpected options may come available or are up to be traded. That's when we will also see Ayuik come into play, after he is released. We may even have a surprising release or trade on our side. Is Luvu and others safe? Things will heat up some again today.

This is when they should have released Biadasz, because it they had waited they probably would have gotten a 5th for him. You can't tell me that Pats center was worth more.

The defense could really look different already. These are the times where I feel a little sympathy for the coordinator just let go. I don't know that Whitt would have done well with more talent (and we still probably don't have enough) but he certainly could have used the help and may look at the team and be mad that they didn't do this for him. OTOH, I think he had to behind the idea of let's stop the run with big, stout, slow guys and we'll somehow manufacture rush with my clever schemes.

Keim addressed Biadasz with Bram on their podcast last night. My understanding of what he said is that the team did shop him, but there were no takers. He also mentioned speaking with an NFL person from another team whom he trusts, and that person said he was not surprised Biadasz was released and viewed him as somewhat overrated.

Keim also suggested that part of the issue with Biadasz involved the broader offensive setup — including play-calling and protections — and that the team wants a center who is more vocal and more naturally in command. The implication seemed to be that Allegretti may bring more of that presence.

As for the Bears, they reportedly looked into Tyler but chose not to sign him as a free agent and instead traded a pick for Garrett Bradbury, a former first-round pick who allowed zero sacks and is making less than half of what Tyler was set to make. So I do not think that was necessarily an apples-to-apples comparison.

That said, if Peters somehow misread the market that badly — or if Harris was simply too eager to clear the $8 million in cash — then that would be concerning. A front office that can get picks for Brian Robinson, John Ridgeway, and Jahan Dotson it would beyond odd for them to completely miss on the market for Biadasz. If that is really what happened, then I would have serious questions. I’m just not convinced that is actually the story.

But I got other beefs with Peters, do something for the offense! Will see, today perhaps.

When we picked here 5 FAs we want. Chenal was on my list. So was Jennings and Okonkwo. I think it was Jennings if not him Saheed was torn between the two,

Yeah Chaisson would be great, 9 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and I don't think he would break the bank.

Racaad White is the best back left on the market.

Cross is a good player.

So I agree with all of those choices.

All of those players have discussed a lot hear other than Cross.

I have read Cross's a name a few times in articles as being a suggested S for the Commanders. He would be worth looking into but don't know a ton about him other than what's written.

I don't really want Paul back, wish him well and hope he gets a juicy contract elsewhere

Yeah, the question is which bin we go shopping for at this point. We don't want to pay great money for good so does Adam start to look for patches now? I can see a sprinkling of both over the next day or two. Then he will probably sit on his hands for a while. They need a receiving threat though now.

I think they let the guy go that was the best value for what is left for the most part. There may be an upgrade out there that is good value, but… I think the plan is Allegretti.

One thing I had been thinking last week about Center...before word was we were going hard after Linderbaugh - Our offensive line coaches were the line staff for the National team at the Senior Bowl. They coached the C that received the most kudos of the Centers Kansas's Sm Hecht who is a really smart good player and on the other side they were exposed to the top C in the draft Floridas Jake Slaughter who is supposedly NFL ready to plug and play. Perhaps they fell in like with one or both of the guys while working with them

My guess is they both go in the 2nd round but I had them on radar if they traded down as I don't think they reach 71

They could. But we also need a safety and I feel 71 is the best spot for that. I think we’re going to stand pat at a few positions or add low dollar competition. Can’t fill every hole.

I think Downs is in play at 7, too.

I’m still irritated we let Curl go, then doubled down and let Chinn walk. Ive been lurking but couldn’t hold my peace with the mention of needing a safety.
