The 2026 Free Agency Thread

They need to sign somebody at TE though.

We think, probably correctly, that we need a guy like Okonkwo but the team obviously seems to differ, that is why we've had 2 years of Ertz catch/fall and nothing else at TE.

I personally like Jennings more, I guess what I meant was that I could see Doubs making me “wrong” due to his potential upside. But his concussions do worry me.

Jennings is a better blocker and better after the catch, and I know what he is. When healthy, I feel confident I know exactly what we’re getting, but at the same time I think that means we’re paying for his ceiling. Doubs has a bit of a mystery box ceiling but may also disappoint

I hear you. I just get major JAG vibes from Doubs. There is no standout skill to his game. Jennings has the blocking, Shaheed has the speed, I don't know what Doubs has.
 
This "process" totally makes sense if you nail the draft, so maybe they think they did, and will.

If not, this team is going to be toast.
 
Imo, worst case scenario we will get 2 solid receiverss even if they are questionable, injuried guys like Ayuik and Hill but we should be able to get Dobbs or someone so I'm not too worried. Therefore, the key to me is Okonkwo. If we get him then everything looks at least somewhat legit, if not better. That's who I am focused on. We can breathe a little sigh of relief after that

I understand it, but I watched a lot of GB games over the last few years because of fantasy. Everytime wondering why they keep throwing so many balls his way, need a 1st... Doubs, hard catch over the middle... Doubs, damn that guy has good hands... Doubs

Lloyd is the first one that pissed me off. He’s a stud and that was really affordable.

Watch us sign Greenlaw.

This is the way we need to look at it
 
It would be funif free agency was done in auction style where we could see each bid. Never happen and probably shouldn’t happen but it would be cool to actually see the horse race.

Not that the highest bid has to win, but knowing which teams were in and how hard they fought would make for good drama.
 
Yeah, there are several guys still available but I do have a hard time imaging that we are going to sign 50% of them.

Earlier I said that I'd bet, out of the entire list, that we'd get Oweh and Jennings, and I think I will stick with that.
