The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Oweh had 30 tackles once, 25 tackles the year he had 10 sacks.

Last year he had 20 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

That averages out to 1-2 plays a game and 1 sack every 2 game, at best.

Had to go check your math since you described a guy with 60 catches as a “1-2 catch per game guy” earlier 😂 Seems you’ve found your calculator since, good job

Briefly watched Oweh…

He plays a stand up edge role and wide 9. Good motor. Good spin. Good length. Pretty decent on run. Burst isn’t great consistently , bend not great but long strides and explosive into contact. The Ravens played him inside more so didn’t get to use his hands as much, which are a strength.

Well worth the money and would be the top pass rusher in this draft class (not named Bain 😉)

All sounds good. Just sub Bain’s name for Bailey and you nailed it.

Oweh's pressures have been consistent 54, 55, and 51 pressures the past three years. Watching college prospects you realize how random sacks are. Guys will get a great win and the QB gets rid of the ball quickly. Other times the guy gets stuffed on his first pass rush move and the another player pressures the QB who scrambles into the player for a sack or a guy gets through unblocked. I view pressures as a more predictive and useful stat when projecting the future. Hopefully Oweh is still ascending, if not, hes a solid player, but not a star.

Watched Robertson. Aggressive as hell. He does get beat a lot but contacts receivers with intent to harm and gets his hands on the ball and uses good arm swipes to free the ball. He could be sneaky good depending on deployment. But if he is asked to be safe he’s going to get beat.

You might be thinking about somebody else. Last time I played with stats was Pierce, at 3-4 plays a game with his 35-45 catches a year. 4 would be a stretch for him since 17 games x 4 equals well over anything he has ever done.

As I said earlier, at this point we only have one running back certain to come back next year so between free agency and the draft we need to sign at least 2 probably 3 backs which will be a combination of Rodriguez and two new guys or 3 new guys, either way we'll be active.

I wouldn't be certain they aren't trying to upgrade though.

For one, the tender I believe is 3 and half million this year and that only gets you right of first refusal and thats a nice chunk of change for a jag we could probably replace with a late round pick or an udfa.

And two, why haven't they tendered him yet?

If they want his services next year for the 3.5 mil what are they waiting for?
I definitely believe they will sign more but my point is if Bill and CRod are our lead backs again then I am OK with it. If Bill himself is our lead back with others then I am on with it. I think that we have solid backs and that Bill can go for 1200 plus

Nice analysis. He is a piece, not a solution.

I respect that opinion.

I personally would like an upgrade.

I think its been so long since we've had anything at running back above average we've forgotten what its like to have a game changer.

Yup. Love is a game changer. Bill is capable of a big play.

Love does it all. Bill is purely a rusher.

I’d add White, too, if the plan is Love. Give Bill a few touches a game and let him develop.
