So the Titans are finally spending their money but not us. Do you guys think us waiting makes us have to pay more or less for the guys still on the board? Has Okonkwo price went up or down

Have a feeling AP is making a play to trade for Brian Thomas Jr. We need to upgrade at WR and he needs to keep Jayden happy.

Not sure we have the capital that Jacksonville would want for a trade, unless AP is willing to give up our first.

I can agree that there are still a lot of players in free agency remaining, but I am still very concerned that the team doesn't seem to think very highly of their worth when the 110th best CB was a higher priority to acquire.

Agree to an extent. But I am not paying LT money to a C either. If you are gonna break the bank spend it at a premium position.

I’m just unpleasantly surprised that wash couldn’t land a decent mlb to upgrade from Wagner. LBs aren’t getting crazy money and it’s one of the biggest holes on this D

I think it came out they weren’t trading him after all, but that probably doesn’t mean much. Maybe a pick swap? Swap firsts, we get like their second and we give them our second next year or something.

Exactly. And it's not as if these players are getting a record $300M deal or one like Haynesworth got at $100M that set a position standard.

Yes, Phillips was overpaid. But we could have had him for $5M more? Who cares if the cap goes up 12 or 13% next year?

I just love it when fans become economists. Watching the NFL you know there are ways around the cap and McVay/Snead, Reid and others have been able to consistently massage the numbers to go to the Super Bowl.

So, we are left with bargain hunting for near vet minimum guys or guys on one year, $5M deals we think are so great because the guy used to make $15M when he was in his prime

The thing that is not being talked about w Robertson is he was mid 60s in 23 and 24. Perfectly fine league average slot corner. He’s 27. Doubt he got washed overnight

That’s really not that bad for a swing on a QB, I expected much worse tbh. That’s like 22.5M AAV for two years. We pay Mariota half that hoping he never has to play.

Of course it’s worse from a cap perspective for them bc they also have like $40M from Tua on the books each of the next two years. So their overall QB number is still absurd

I don't disagree. They tried to overpay for Pierce and got turned down so not like they're unwilling. But they got outbid for other guys like Phillips, and while no one deal is a must-have, you gotta walk away with something on the upper end. Will see if it happens

Jags have no first this year but they have a 2nd and three 3rds. Could be some pick swaps involved although I wouldn't want to trade 7OA.

Hard to say. On the one hand, team’s cap space is drying up with each signing, and there have been many TE signings too. That would mean his price goes down. However, any team that still needs a TE is now more desperate and an Agent will understand that and use that to their advantage when negotiating by coming up with a mystery team willing to pay more, etc. Game of chicken.

Didn't you know, we aren't signing any players capable of making the pro bowl.

This is frankly the one that irks me the most. I really thought he was an ideal replacement for Wagner. Not super expensive, seems like the exact guy you want on a team that's heading upward or aiming for that. On top of all of those feelings, he goes to NYG of all places. 🤮
