These contracts will seem crazy until next year when they're even crazier.

Given all the talk about how Adam Peters was the next coming, I’m beginning to wonder if it’s less him and more being asked to shop for filet with ground beef money.

I would wonder this if he’d had a draft I loved at this point. This offseason is another chance. But it’s not just FA where he’s struggled so far. Drafting is streaky so he can turn it around and prove his eye for talent. But it hasn’t happened yet

Chiefs have just gotten rid of perhaps the best cornerback duo in the NFL over the past week. Amazing.

Much has been written recently about the Chiefs developing CBs with Spags, and then trading them for high value. It is one of the revolving doors that keeps them able to refuel and retool. It's why you absolutely need good coaching to be a dynasty, more than you need good players. You need to develop players and then manage them as assets - picking who you keep and who you trade, picking the timing.. carefully. Then you can develop a dynasty.

This is unfortunately very unlikely to happen with DQ at the helm, from what we've seen. Just looking at what we've all seen happen.

If I was to predict I'd say we get Oweh/Mafe and Jennings. Possibly Lloyd or a lesser LB.

Not at all. We could have offered $10-15M less in guarantees, there’s no way to know.

I’m not saying that happened, I’m simply saying that’s the only money in the contract that actually matters, and we don’t have that information.

Listening to the callers for talk radio, lol, apparently the window is closed after 3 hours during day 1 in the tampering period.

Feels silly to me. If we are talking like this even tomorrow at 3 pm I get it. But heck we know they shot hard at 2 players who got 27-30 million and were willing to outbid the Colts. If anything that feels a bit reckless. But zero signs that they are being cheap thus far.
