Yeah you are just betting on upside with him, runs a 4.28. But as you say he's had enough time to show what he's got.

Just like others, I think he's speculating, maybe speculating off of what he's hearing from agents.

I really hope they don't just go with Aiyuk and nothing else. That will be a huge risk. I'll let it play out before passing judgement, because it could work out great, but it would be a gargantuan gamble.

It's not a risk I would take for sure.

All reports are no way that happens. If it does then we are going WR in the draft

Yeah when I was watching Allegier last night, just the highlights, much of it was versus Washington. Joe Whitt and the Washington defense are going to help some dude get a big bag in FA.

I mean.... McCaffery, Lane, and Burks are all "potential" already.... we have enough of that profile of player unless you're gonna cut one of those guys IMO

I wonder if teams delay announcing a deal for a bit just so it doesn't appear they were working on something pre-legal tampering period?

Why didn't they do the deal 3 weeks ago. I can't imagine they were that far apart.

It's odd, but eh, it's the NFL.

I cant figure out how more people dont recognize and acknowledge the obvious tampering.
He didn't sign three weeks ago because he wanted to see what every other team was offering.
As the scouting combine progressed and his agents were able to get a complete picture of what he would get on the open market he decided indys offer was the best combination of value and where he wanted to be.

I also think teams dont complain about the tampering because it actually benefits them, they now have a chance to let their players test free agency during a time when only they can sign them.

There's no chance another team will make him an offer he snatches up as an impulse, a sort of dont let him out of the building type offer.

That's exactly what they do and once the first domino falls it'll start a chain reaction.

Important to remember, players can back out of these deals prior to Wednesday. I'm actually surprised teams 'give up' when a deal is announced because technically the window is still open until contracts become official.
