The 2026 Free Agency Thread

This is not a real account. For example, Wes Steinberg reported the Giants were giving Henry Ruggs a tryout last year while he was sitting in a prison.

Good catch on that, my favority parody tweet today was one I saw that the Jets were insisting on a first rounder for Fields.

bahaha ok, yeah i think you're right... forgive me

That would rock! Is Full Command legit?

Don't know but its not just them, a bunch on twitter are talking about it. Tunsil has gone from at times about referencing he wants to get paid to today doing a celebration of being a Commander -- considering he's his own agent there might be something to it.

Here's a "moon is made of cheese" likelihood addition but Travis Kelce is a free agent and despite his age had more production last year than any other tight ends available.

He wouldn't be the first legend to finish his career elsewhere.

Word on the street is he does plan to come back for one more year and if we do go the old guy route he's a better option than ertz.

He's not my top want but as I am digesting him, upgrade over Rodriguez, but doesn't bring pass catching to the mix

He just signed a new shoe deal with Quikrete after they dropped Ertz.

No thanks.....

I think the RFA Right of First Refusal tag for CRod is 3.5M and I would pay that immediately. Bill is also only getting 1M in salary. 4.5M for that duo is a huge steal. CRod runs really angry, I love watching that.

Personally I want to see what Bill can do this year. Lots of RBs need that first year to adjust to the speed of the NFL and then they figure it out. I don't know his ceiling, but I'm not willing to write him off. But if the FO thinks he isn't and can't be "the guy" then fire away on some bigger names.

If we sign Walker, he both pushes Bill down and makes drafting Love really infeasible. The #7 pick is getting 8.9M/year AAV, and Walker, I gotta think he's gonna push for something like 14-15M and at least a 3 year deal, and he of course should, this is probably his one big chance to cash in. Between those two we'd suddenly be at 24Mish for two RBs, that's not really workable imo, and you can't really give them the carries they deserve either, just not gonna be enough carries to go around.

In my mind, it's either Walker or Love, but I don't think you need either to have a good backfield.

I'd grab White/Gainwell, and roll with Bill, CRod, and White/Gainwell, and then if we end up with Love we aren't in as much of a multi-car pile-up.

What is the problem with him? Maybe be some off the field/attitude stuff?
Lawrence did like to throw him numerous murder balls last year. His receivers were getting smoked regularly.

Fucking overpay!

Loved Trautman before that draft but he’s been IMO disappointing compared to his college tape. He was a killer blocker in college.

I can’t remember…do we start getting agreements leaked at noon tomorrow? Or does it take a few hours to pretend they weren’t already in place?
