I'm surprised there's been no word on CRod, McNichols or Jacob Martin.

CRod and Martin both have value, McNicholl would be brought back if somehow RB isnt upgraded IMO.

McNichols had a sneaky good season and might have been our most well rounded running back last year. If he were a few years younger I’d say he is a must keep. He pass protects, receives and has a relatively good ypc and uses good vision.

Problem is that he isn’t young. I don’t think that’s damning necessarily, but if we keep CRod and we add a back he has to be the odd man out.

I thought Frannklin Myers would be a fit here but haven't really heard his name mentioned much

I want to say I saw him on a FA as the top DT availablle, plus he can rush the passer from the interior, he will be a hot commodity.

He is kinda washed, but as a pass catching/Ekler replacement, what do we think about Aaron Jones? He was decent last yr when he played and would not have to be the primary balll carrier here.

Agreed, way to much imho for a 35yrs old who played 12 GMs and only had 5 1/2 sacks…

At a minimum he's on a revenge tour against Dallas and that would be amped here. He has good passing numbers, too. Looking at PFF grades, he's a bad pass blocker, though.

I'd kill for Walker though. He was one of my first mentions on this thread. I'd be cool with Dowdle. But amped if its Walker. I wouldn't hate Allgeier but to me he's basically doubles down on having maybe a slightly better version of Rodriguez.

Racaad White would be fun, but he's more of a rotational guy so I wouldn't be amped. I'd be amped for Etienne but alas looks like they aren't chasing him, forgetting who said that in a podcast, maybe Keim? I don't recall now.

I didn't realize Dowdle wasn'tt good in pass pro that's disappointing. Etienne is still my top target with Walker right behind him.

Since Jones is from Minny thought I'd throw this in the thread

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Eagles “are believed to have inquired” about Vikings EDGE Jonathan Greenard.

This would be a contingency plan for if the Eagles lost Jaelan Phillips to the open market. The Vikings are looking for a Day 2 pick to move Greenard, per Fowler, with the sticking point being that Greenard wants a contract adjustment. This is the first smoke we’ve seen on Greenard actually moving since Adam Schefter reported that the Vikings were open to trading him.

From what I have read, Mack played well when not injured llast yr.

LAC probably see themselves as SB contenders, so not a bad move bringing back a vet.

Im just not a huge fan of paying guys based on their years past performances (and by years past I mean like 3-4 yrs ago) Mack hasn’t been the same player in years and I just think 18m is a awful lot for the performance and results given recently… just glad it wasn’t us giving a aged veteran more $ then deserved (oh wait we kinda have that in our MLB situation)

I don't see Evans comes here unless he doesn't get what he wants in other places which is possible. He said that his criteria was 4 things:

A QB that he believes in
A team that is truly a SB Contender
A top Notch OC
0A team that will feed him a lot of touches

I will pass strictly on that last criteria myself. We don't need any big ego, past prime guys who still think that they are better than what they are

We have 1 of the 4 at least… but the 1 we do have could easily be questioned by injuries … is Daniels more like his rookie season or is he more of his 2nd season… or somewhere in between?

Also, if he fails, it doesn't deter him, he just looks for a way or should I say player to fix the issue

Agreed, but apparentlly he played well last yr.

Just saying for a team like LAC, who cinsider themselves SB contenders, it makes sense.

They literally do. Cash over cap, void years, whatever they gotta do. Theres a second cash register teams can dip into if the owner wants to spring for it. Dallas is an example of wealthy ownership doing the opposite. So far Harris hasn’t given AP permission. Perhaps we will see some creativity this week.
