The 2026 Free Agency Thread

Thank goodness. Baltimore always seems in position to grab this kind of player as they did with Roquan Smith because they draft very well and have most of their bases covered so they can deal a top pick or two and still add talent in Rounds 2-7.

Washington now has a legit owner and a team organization that is now much more respected around the league but we still have a long ways to go to plan and execute as well as a team like the Ravens.

Yeah I was fearful he would end up in Philly or more likely Dallas. Now I got to root for Hendrickson also to stay out of our division. I suspect Washington isn't chasing Hendrickson.

This guy’s mostly miss but does read what everyone else is saying

This close to the "legal tampering" period I sometimes wonder if the leaks are scoops or misdirection?

Could be.

Allgeier who Standig is beating the drum for I like but if part of their issues with the current RB corp is they aren't pass catchers -- then neither is he, so I don't get it from that perspective.

Etienne seems tailor made -- outside zone specialist, decent pass blocker, good hands.

For me I got a bunch of guys I'd be happy with. Walker, R. White, Allgeier, Dowdle, Etienne, Gainwell.

As far as being ecstatic for me that would be Walker, close behind would be Etienne. The others would be about the same for me but all good -- R. White, Allgeier, Dowdle, Gainwell.
I get it but Walker is the creme of the crop, so to speak. If there is one FA, I want them to outspend everyone on, it is WR Pierce by a mile. Just me though, SIP.

Okonkwo is hin

I wouldn't give up that for him with where we are picking

Pierce is supposed to be getting close to 30Mil a year pretty soon. That's a little much for a dude who's probably going to make 3-4 plays a game. Hell, that's almost a million dollars a catch even if he stays healthy all 17 games.

If AP signs him, things really have changed and I'll no longer be able to call him Dollar 🌲 AP.

A position that has not talked about much in the draft or FA thread has been CB.

Correct me if I'm recalling incorrectly but when AP and DQ had their pressure discussing the off season wasn't the 3 main focuses mentioned getting explosive players on offense, a DE/Edge to get at QB's and a top coverage guy?

Just wondering if a CB has been identified as a sneaky first day of tamper time signing

I wouldn't touch Hendrickson at his age after how he played last season for that price. Terry got hurt but looked as good as ever when on the field. Trey however had extremely low production compared to previous seasons

Linderbaum is my #1 FA target, pay the man his 20m plus p/y and rest easy at C for the next 4 years.

Judging by what's being heard from beat reporters and national reporters, I think you will be dissapointed.

As much as I want Peters to spend and as much as I like him as a player, I'll rip Peters big time if that's one of his big spends but I'd be more than surprised, I'd be shocked.

You can't IMO have three O lineman with close to 20 million-30 million salary, that IMO would be crazy. In a vaccum i'd love it. But alas, the cap doesn't work in a vaccum. IMO you want to spend that kind of money on an edge, CB, WR -- not a center and that goes double when you already have or about to have two of the most expensive O lineman in the league.

I think there is boderline zero shot they sign Linderbaum.

It's not sneaky. Keim has said like 20 times, CB is one of the three big quests in FA -- Edge, WR, CB.

Okay I didn't realize he mentioned the position that often.

However, CB has not been discussed very often in recent times in this thread, not like Edge, DE, RB, WR, C, G, TE, LB...Guess that's why I said sneaky

Yup and probably means no to a couple others discussed like Mays and McGovern. Could they be thinking Hennessy to pair up with Allegretti???
